Hamburg Germany 10 THINGS TO DO AND SEE IN

We originally went there for the pelmeni previously photographed in the menu but they don’t have them anymore. That wasn’t the problem but the tea we ordered. It was cold water. The scones we tried with it were pretty dry and fall apart while cutting. Definitely it wasn’t clotted cream with them. They didn’t raise enough while baking. Having visited many tea rooms in England and even Germany, I’m puzzled they even offer tea room services. The tea-blend was good but with the room-temperature water, you can only make one tea out of the pot. This is definitely something they need to work on. The employees are great and so it’s the atmosphere. The stulle Camembert was good and the portion okay, quarkies a bit stodgy. I have to say the hot chocolate I tried was pretty tasty but it wasn’t hot either. The other cakes at the counter look really tasty but didn’t try them. So as a café it is a cozy, instagram place but I have my doubts as tea services. If in the area, I might give them a try but for their salty menu. Good luck guys :)

Friends recommended us this cafe and it was such a lovely visit. The cafe is a mix between cafe & breakfast place. Then add a lot of content and a touch of Russian spirit, and you have Malina. The interior is beautiful and your eyes can discover so many details throughout the whole cafe. It also includes a small shop where they sell handmade decoration things and more. The coffees we had were nice and the food of very high quality and tasty. The size of the portions was just right. The staff was smiling, helpful and spoke even English. Nice! Anyway, many compliments to the chef. I highly recommend this place.

Came on Sunday 16/07 around 10.30. Unacceptable service. First off, we were waiting in line for a table, but then the table was given to other people who just walked in. Then, no server appears for almost 30 minutes to give us a menu. After we put in an order and we already waited for 30 minutes, they came to tell us that certain ingredients were missing and asked if we wanted to order something else. This must be something you notice earlier, or do you simply not have the capacity to take orders in an efficient way? We just decided to not order that dish anymore to just get some service. Then finally, to make it even worse, people that ordered way after us get served first. Could you potentially mess up your service more badly? The food might be ok, but with this kind of chaotic service you cannot potentially run a business. In the end we waited almost two hours for a toast with fried eggs. In that amount of time, I can go to the supermarket and make it myself twice. Go spend your money in any of the great places Hamburg has to offer, because this...
