Soul Sushi Barmbek — Restaurant in Hamburg

From the outside you will think this is just one of those average sushi places you can find everywhere, but that is wrong. At this place you will get best quality food made with pride and service you can just ask for. We have been coming to this place over and over again for many years now. Usually I come her with my younger daughter for take out dinner and this place is consistently great when it comes to quality of food they provide and service. One of the main reasons is that this place is family owned by extremely nice family with big smiles taking care about their customers like we are one big family and not just their customers. We are always nicely greeted when we enter this restaurant, it is sincere and honest place. No wonder they are always busy, everyone knows about this place in our area. I wish this place never changes and stays here close to us for many years ahead....

Eigentlich geb ich ungern schlechte Rezensionen, aber da es um Essen und die Gesundheit von anderen Menschen geht lass ich das mal durchgehen. Vor allem bei rohem Fisch. Ich war dort mit meiner Schwester, das selber bedienen hat uns nicht sonderlich gestört, die Wartezeit bei insgesamt 2 Tischen aber relativ hoch. Wir haben eine Lachs Platte und einen Mango Lassi bestellt. Leider war der nach dem öffnen mit schimmel bedeckt..klar frucht verdirbt schnell aber da könnte man etwas mehr acht geben. Es kam dann auch ein Mitarbeiter und hat sich entschuldigt und einen frischen gebracht. Das fand ich zwar total nett, hab mich aber dann doch nicht getraut den zu trinken..bei dem Sushi war meine Schwester dann auch schon sehr vorsichtig, da ich aber selber in einem Sushi Restaurant arbeite, konnte ich schon erkennen dass der Fisch noch gut war, war auch schön butterig auf der Zunge wie es sein sollte. Das Sushi an sich war leider nicht so ganz dolle befüllt und auch etwas lieblos serviert, die Nigiris allerdings waren doch ganz gut. Fazit: doch wohl der letzte Besuch, das hat uns dann doch eher abgeschreckt weil man sich nicht sicher ist wie die Hygiene Vorschriften eingehalten werden, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis auch eher..naja. Aber das Personal war echt lieb! Dem jungen Mann war es auch sichtlich unangenehm und hat sich mehrmals entschuldigt, die Kritik geht auf gar keinen Fall an die angestellten, da müsste der Inhaber sich mal...

I mean, this is the worst. Me with my boyfriend have ordered there a sushi delivery. Some anonymous number called which we didn't pick up. And after hours of waiting and trying to reach them to ask where is our order they told it's been cancelled by them, because they couldn't take it in the first place. They took the money and never delivered it. What is this? On Valentine's evening causing such non romantic experience....
