The bistro is really cute with a deli and a restaurant section. Due to Covid, obviously there is no dine-in, but there is a bank close to the traffic light where you can sit and enjoy your warm meal.

The dishes are made fresh when you order, except for the antipasti of course. You can choose antipasti of your liking and it can be either packed into a big plate or separate plastic boxes. The scenery reminds me of Italian supermarkets so much. I wish some food plates were closer to the back though, so the poor Nona doesn't have to reach out too much to the front.

According to what they have, you can order any pizza you like. We had a pizza with spicy salami (pizza al salame piccante) and the chef comes out of the kitchen, slices the Salami fresh from the Salami block at the cashier and brings it back to the kitchen. Dang, that pizza was divine. Simple, fresh and delicious. The dough is not Napolitano dough, but crunchy and thin, making it easy to munch outside without getting too messy.

The pasta dishes (fresh truffle pasta and spadellata pasta) are ok. They are delicious but pasta is a bit too soft and the truffle sauce can be more "truffly" instead of being a tad bit too creamy now. It has real truffle, but I am not sure if it is freshly grated from a piece of truffle, which could explain the lack in smell and flavor of truffle. But it is what you can have for 12.5€.

Oh, and I am glad to see carbonara without cream on their menu board! Both pasta and antipasti come with some slices of bread to swipe down the last drop of sauce, Italian style :)

They also sell Italian products, preserved meat (pancetta, breakfast, Parma, etc), cheese and surprisingly, tulips. The price is good for this area. Totally recommended for pizza...

WARNING!! Very bad experience. We had high expectations to the food, as there are always many people. But it turned out that the quality of the food is very low. In addition, the male waiter was unpleasant, almost aggressive. In addition to 2 pasta dishes and a few different starters, we ordered 2 glasses of the house red wine, they were about 45 degrees hot, this is not how red wine is served. Can't recommend this place. Leider enttäuscht gegangen. Die Vorspeise (Burrata mit Kräuterseitlingen) war sehr gut, dies vorweg. Jedoch war der Service von Anfang an eher semi freundlich und wirkte eher genervt auf Nachbestellungen von Wein und Wasser. Zum Hauptgang hatten wir 2x die Carbonara und 2 weitere Gerichte. Die Carbonara hatte leider nichts mit dieser zu tun, die wir aus guten Restaurants oder Italien kennen. Es war lediglich gebratener Speck mit Öl und geronnenem Ei mit den Spaghetti. Ich wollte mein Unwohlsein gerne zu Anfang an kundtut, jedoch ist keiner der Kellner stehengeblieben und hat initial gefragt. Als sich die anderen Teller allmählich gelernt haben und somit ersichtlich wurde, dass mit meinem Essen etwas nicht zu meiner Zufriedenheit ist, sind vermehrt Kellner*innen an unserem Tisch vorbeigegangen und keiner ist stehengeblieben. Es wurden sogar die anderen Teller abgeräumt. Nach weiteren Minuten kam eine Dame und erkundigte sich nach meinem Wohl. Als ich ihr mitteilte, dass ich eine Carbonara anders kenne, entgegnete sie nur, dann war diese wohl mit Sahne. Als ich ihr versicherte, dass ich sehr genau weiß, wie eine carbonara zuzubereiten ist, reagierte sie nur „flapsig“ „ das hier ist die beste Carbonara, die ich kenne“. Dann ging sie mit dem Teller. Daraufhin wurde weder angeboten das Gericht von der Rechnung zu nehmen, noch wurde mir ein neues Gericht angeboten.

Das tut mir echt leid, da ich für die anderen Gerichte gerne wieder gekommen wäre, aber bei so einer Service-Einstellung ich dies definitiv...
