Quán 99 — Restaurant in Hamburg

We have been there twice since the opening. I, being Vietnamese, often struggle to find an authentic restaurant in Germany that lives up to my standards. However, this restaurant meets my expectations. The menu has a lot of variety. We didn’t order the “stereotypical Asian dishes” but authentic Vietnamese ones, and they are very good. The Vietnamese coffee is actually the traditional Vietnam-made style, not the Vietnamese instant coffee like in a lot of other restaurants.

The restaurant is quite spacious, the staff members are friendly and helpful. The portion size is generous. Coming with a group of 4-6 people has more options to order. Definitely coming back...

Gerade erst eröffnet und schon sind wir spontan hier zum Essen. Anbindung des Lokals an den ÖPNV ist Recht gut, Parkplätze habe ich jetzt eher nicht viel gesehen. Das Lokal im inneren ist etwas bunt zusammen gewürfelt. Gerade die Beleuchtung im Tresenbereich ist dann doch etwas seltsam anmutend. Im gesamten Lokal sind Klimageräte aufgestellt. Da wäre vermutlich eine ordentliche Klimatisierung besser gewesen. Durch die Geräte hat das Ganze eher einen provisorischen Baumarkt-Charakter. Das Lokal ist aufgrund einer Veranstaltung gut gefüllt, dennoch werden wir Recht schnell bedient. Die Karten sehen sehr stilvoll aus, sind aber echt schwer zu lesen, vor allem wenn man noch die Inspiration braucht, was man denn essen möchte. Dennoch haben wir was gefunden und auch Recht schnell an den Tisch gebracht bekommen. Geschwindigkeit ist hier Mal echt gut. Geschmacklich war das Essen ordentlich Bei den Bratnudeln waren aber lediglich die Nudeln stark gewürzt. Hähnchenfleisch und Gemüse haben von der Würzung überhaupt nichts gesehen. Dennoch konnte man es gut essen. Die Bedienung war nett und nicht aufdringlich. Kartenzahlung ist hier möglich, was heutzutage meiner Meinung nach überall sein sollte. Insgesamt ist das Restaurant okay, wenn es sich ergibt, würden wir dort auch ein zweites Mal essen, bewusst aber dieses Restaurant für einen zweiten Besuch wählen, wird wohl eher nicht passieren.

Negativ muss erwähnt werden, dass die Ablüftung in der Küche anscheinend nicht richtig funktioniert hat. Das gesamte Restaurant roch...

The location seems nice, but as we sat down we found our table dirty and sticky on arrival. The sauces weren’t changed from the day before and were all empty and used, which was not nice to look at. The time waiting for a dish to get ready was fine, but the food wasn’t special. The service was very bad, they didn’t ask us for drinks neither if we want a refill. The Beer or the ‘Alsterwasser’ has no gas in it. Not a nice and comfortable experience, will...
