Rheinischer Hafen — Restaurant in Hamburg

One of the worst servers I've ever met. When we asked for a seat we were told we could sit anywhere. One of the servers basicly threw the menu at us and left. When she came to take our drink orders she also urged us to immediately order the food, all good.

While she took our orders she basicly looked over our heads and seemed very annoyed and disinterested. Which followed to me getting the wrong drink, no big deal, that can happen. To bad the one that brought the drink also couldn't wait to put the drinks down and leave, so there wasnt really a chance to correct the situation. Then when they brought our food out we hesitated on whether is was correct or not, to which the waiter said "if those two dishes are correct, they all are correct" welllll, my drink doesnt agree with that, but sure, maybe lose the attitute next time sir.

All in all, the food was decent, but the service treated us like trash from the minute we arrived and barely checked up on us, while it wasn't even close to being busy. Very dissapointing. Dont go here if you like being treated like a...

We went here at 1pm on a Sunday (last weekend) its a large restaurant and had about 3 other occupied tables but 4 members of staff. They looked bored, we sat down in an area where we would be not bothering folk as we have a baby with us. The staff all totally didn't see us or attend to us, i kept having to get up and walk to the bar for service. One guy kept looking at the TV and the lady kept checking her phone. I ordered a second beer and he forgot and when I said to my wife I did ask for a second beer right? she said yea ss we looked over to see him slouched with his head on his arm, and elbow on the bar, watching the TV.

My wife ordered the pfankuechen...it was bland and tasteless, the cheese was a little plasticy (cheap supplies). I ordered the Hamburger panfish. It arrived quite quickly, but the fish was obviously frozen and the bratkartofeln were dry and hard, they had obviously been prepared earlier then sat for a while as there were no customers.

we will not be visiting again, there are so many better places in Hamburg where we would get...

Great food, lovely views, and super friendly service!

We had a great experience at Rheinischer Hafen in Hamburg. From the moment we arrived, the staff were super welcoming and attentive. They noticed we were speaking English and immediately offered us English menus, which made things so much easier and more relaxed.

The food was absolutely delicious — the pulled beef burger was a standout! Perfectly tender, juicy beef with a tangy slaw and crispy onion rings on the side — so satisfying. You can tell they put a lot of care into their food.

We sat outside, and the view of the canal was just beautiful. Peaceful and scenic, it made for a perfect spot to enjoy our meal. Highly recommend grabbing a table out there if the weather’s nice!

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for great food, friendly service, and a chill atmosphere...
