Piccoli Pasti is a nice restaurant!
I was solo travelling and was craving Italian food, Piccoli Pasti happened to the best choice:
🔸The restaurant has a vast menu of items to choose from: pastas, suppe, pizzas, steaks etc. 🔸There is ample space to sit. 🔸The only reason I'm giving it a 4-star and not a 5-star is because the taste of the pasta. The chicken was really good but I felt the taste of the pasta was a bit bland for my liking, although still really good. I would definitely come and try something new. 🔸I got my food surprisingly very quickly! I think about 5-6 mins which I’m not sure is a good or bad thing 😅 🔸The price is reasonable. I ordered spaghetti with white sauce and chicken and it was definitely fulfilling for a single person. If you're not that hungry, I would recommend getting only 1 pasta to split with your friends and order something else later. 🔸The staff is super friendly and welcoming! I had the owner (not sure) come and ask me if the food was alright and if there is anything else I need. 🔸The washrooms are neat and clean.
Although I wasn't too happy with the taste of the pasta, I still enjoyed it and would recommend anyone visiting Hamburg to...
Read moreWe visited piccoli pasti as a group of three, drawn in by the promise of authentic Italian cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy, and the attendant was genuinely welcoming, which initially gave us a good impression.
However, our experience quickly turned sour. After placing our order, we waited for over an hour and a half before any food arrived. During the wait, we were served a small dish, which the waiter clearly stated was complimentary and not part of our order.
When the bill finally came, we were surprised to see an extra charge—the so-called complimentary dish was in fact billed. This felt misleading and left a bad taste despite the food being decent.
To top it off, the waiter insisted we leave a good review before we left, which made us question the authenticity of the many glowing reviews we had seen online.
In short, while the food was enjoyable, the extremely long wait, misleading billing, and push for positive reviews were definite deal-breakers. If you plan to visit, be cautious and double-check your bill—especially for anything presented as a...
Read moreI don’t often write reviews, but I can’t stop thinking about the wonderful time we had here a couple weeks ago.
My spouse and I found this restaurant while walking around town, looking for an early dinner. Upon arrival, we were told that they were out of their (homemade) pasta and so the menu options were limited. We left, intrigued but hungry.
The next day, we returned. Toni, the gentleman who’d delivered the bad news from the day before remembered us and welcomed us warmly. He sat us at a comfortable table and kept us in good sprits. Such an affable person, he demonstrated true mastery of hospitality.
We each had absolutely delightful dishes. The pasta was slightly firm, not gooey as is often served. Flavors were well-balanced, not drowning in salt as I’ve come to expect. We savored every bite.
Do yourself a favor and drop in for a great meal, especially for lunch when they’re more likely to have fresh pasta. The next time I’m in Hamburg, I’ll be making a...
