I can’t find one positive thing to say about this place
Location - close to the S-Bahn station “Hammerbrook” and easy to get to. Hard to find parking though. Location is also a negative since it is very noisy when you sit outside.
Facilities - uncomfortable chairs outside and inside. Inside feels like a warehouse and decoration is very minimalistic, wallpaper is super fancy though.
Food - firstly, we got no appetisers or anything like that. I ordered a lasagne which tasted nice but unfortunately it was cold inside and also not a lot - I weigh 45kg and was still hungry. Other people on the table ordered a salad and Penne Arrabiata. The arrabiata were so hot that no one could eat them.
Beverages - I can only speak for myself and I ordered a wine.Apparently, this was not a very popular wine because it tasted like it was in the fridge for weeks, it smelled like vinegar and tasted even worse. I know my wine and this was an old wine.
Staff - I complained about both, the cold lasagna and the wine. I got a coffee which I didn’t want as apology. I would’ve loved a fresh glass of wine but after asking three times, the staff avoided me and walked away from me. This is unprofessional and unfriendly.
I live right around the corner but I will never ever bring anyone to this restaurant. I would rather starve a night before going back.
Please don’t go to this...
Read moreI feel sorry writing about this review. As an Italian on holiday I came to Ristorante Alitalia with 3 friends, two of them from. Hamburg that suggested us to have a lovely dinner here. Starter was ok, but I have to say pizza was honestly disappointing. Only good recommendation I have was the beef, that was good. I also have to mention that even if the waiter, from Italy, was nice and charming to talk with, the owner made me feel uncomfortable. When I asked to the waiter if I could speak Italian, we engaged a conversation. Eventually we discovered we were from same region from Italy and he mentioned the owner was from same city, so he told me he would have called her. It seems she was very not interested in showing any welcoming. That honestly, fine, I don't mind, but when we left I explicitly say goodbye to everyone and she just watched me in silent, ignoring my cheers. Not sure...
Read moreReally enjoyed this restaurant It was my first time despite several trips to Hamburg. Very nice Italian food. The waiters are great. Service si not too long. We shared a pizza as a starter and then I had the spaghetti with shrimp and garlic. That was very tasty and a bit spicy but really liked both pizza and pastas. A bit disappointed by the tiramisu. A bit noisy as well as the ceiling is quite high In the end the overall feeling is good If you want nice Italian...
