Scotty’s Steakhouse — Restaurant in Hamburg

We were supposed to go for another restaurant, got the wrong train, and when a lady saw our confusion, asked if she could do something to help. Kathryn, a 60 year old nice lady, coming from a music concert, after hearing we were not going to make it to our restaurant in time, asked if we had any food preference... We said: "No, just wanted to eat good food!"... She said: "Come with me then!". On the way to her house, she stooped at Scottys door. "There is good food here", she said. We did not trust her right away, but after thinking that some things just happens because they need to be, we entered. We got served the two house drinks, Belinni and Collins, and ordered two Pasta dishes. IT WAS DELICIOUS!!! A fresh and homemade pasta, a Ravioli and a Gnocchi, the former with Truffle sauce and the later made with spinach. Grana Padano, Gorgonzola, Cherry Tomato, Rúcula, everything you can ask for a good Italian dish. If you get to go there, ask for Danish and say the Portuguese couple...

Very nice evening with friends and family at Scottys Steakbar in Ottensen. Service was friendly and very efficient. We had the fried goat cheese for starters and a daily special - the Australian prime beef with a baked potato and garlic herb bread. Quality was great, and the steaks were cooked to perfection. The food portions were just right, and the drinks were served quickly as well. Scottys has a relaxed atmosphere, and offers some alfresco seating as well. Situated just across from the "Zeisehallen", the restaurant can be found in the very centre of Ottensen. Overall the food was bland. The Australian Premium Ribeye was tasteless. The baked potato was okay. The hamburger was good, but the French fry’s tasted like old oil. The lamb kabobs were decent. Nothing food wise that would bring us back. The service was awful. Dirty plates sat until we asked for them to be removed, but only took 2 for some reason without even asking about the third. We had to request the third plate be removed. Then we had to get her attention again to ask about that pay the bill. Never once were we asked if we wanted more to drink (we did) never asked if we wanted dessert or coffee (we did). We paid...
