The Shamrock has the outward look onto the heiligengeistfeld area where the St.Pauli football club can be found, meaning it is only a stones throw from the world famous Reeperbahn and acts as a great starting and meeting place to any good night out.
Outside is a small beer garden, where on warm days the world can be observed passing by, whilst laughter and jokes can be heard from within. Inside, and the Shamrock turns into your own living room. Read moreCame as part of a stag do with a large group, the stag was a Liverpool supporter so this was one of the places that were showing it (the St Pauli game was also on and obviously this was more of a pull for the locals).
Inside has a very good vibe and unusually you can smoke inside which brings me back to the 90s in the UK tagging along to the pubs with my parents, although as it's a small area and the smoke hangs about with a lot of people, it got a bit much for me, and I smoke.
Atmosphere for the St Pauli game was electric, so would definitely be good to be local to watch...
Read moreA very very nice and cozy pub with a lovely Lindsay as our waitress (and pub owner?). They don't serve food but it's allowed to bring some if you want - I think that's totally fair! Only downer is the very smoky air with absolutely no air circulation. Even my smoker friends didn't like that. I'm so sorry for the employees and still don't understand why it is still allowed to put your employees in such a health...
