Freshly-prepared, homemade-style, delicious seafood. If you look for a restaurant to indulge your seafood crave, this place should be one of the best choices. Today, they even offered oysters (seasonal, not on the menu). And they tasted great also. My choice was KaroMix, and it is great every time! [Update] Today might have been bad/unlocky day. Food came out almost 40 minutes after order. We had to sit in the blazing Sun with warmed Coke Zero and waited. When it came, KaroMix looked different than the last time (not like the photo I added last time). And I was told the excuse that food takes time to prepare at seafood restaurant. Well, I watched several tables come and finished their meals before we got ours. ... Maybe just one incident. ... But my next visit will not come for a while. And this would be okay for them, I guess, with all the guests.

Das Essen ist ok, aber nichts besonderes. Fisch und Chips sind wirklich Geschmacksache, es werden wirklich viele Kartoffelscheiben mit Paprikapulver serviert mit einem Streifen panierten Fisch. Das Verhältnis stimmt einfach nicht. Von den Kartoffeln zu viel und zu stark gewürzt und vom Fisch zu wenig. Das ist kein Fisch und Chips das man traditionell kennt. Es ist in meinen Augen eine Art davon, für 7,90€ echt happig der Happen! Der Pangasius wird mit einem kleinen Teller Salat serviert , der eine gute Salatmischung hat. Das Dressing ist Geschmacksache und wird schon im Vorfeld auf den Salat gegossen. Zum Menü wird ein Körbchen mit Kräuterbagutte serviert das in Scheiben geschnitten ist, mir hat das Brot gut geschmeckt, aber auch das ist Geschmacksache. Wahlweise kann man sich sein Fischmenü mit Bratkartoffeln, Salzkartoffeln, Chips oder gerillte Kartoffeln servieren lassen. Ich habe mich für die Bratkartoffeln entschieden. Ich war ein wenig überrascht als es serviert würde, ich dachte ich habe ein falsches Gericht bekommen, aber nein, es war meins. Die Bratkartoffeln waren nicht so angerichtet wie man es traditionell kennt aus Deutschland, es waren gewürfelte Kartoffeln, serviert in Tomatensauce mit Zwiebeln. In kurzem und ganzen, Karo Fisch hat einen türkischen Touch und hat nicht mit der Küche zu tun die man so kennt wenn Fisch gegessen wird. Man muss es mögen. Zum Ambiente, es wirkt wie ein Imbiss mit Bierbänke und die dazugehörigen Tische. Im Innenraum hat man normale Tische mit Stühlen. Die Außenplätze gehen zur Straße raus und machen sogar bis zu den Parkplätzen. Für Ruhe ist man hier falsch, dafür sorgen die Autos. Aber wenn das einem nicht stört, warum nicht! Es ist eine einfache Küche mit türkischen Flair im Imbiss Style! Wenn einen das nicht stört und auf das Ambiente keinen hohen Wert legt , ist man hier richtig! Es ist halt eine gute Anlaufstelle für Touristen und das merkt man!!! Bei Fisch kann man in Grunde nichts falsch machen. Es schmeckt alles relativ gleich und ist schnell zubereitet!!!!

This place deserves five stars even more! Why? First location, really close to U3 and it is close to any other interesting places as well as in central Hamburg. Second, their staffs areee super friendly, even I tried to speak in English they try to communicate with me with smiles always. Third, the foodd is amazing, delicious and good portions so worthy. They even provide salad too. Fourth, nice price. No wonder, I need to wait a bit to find a seat, but things about it, they give us solution to wait and have a seat. Bravo!

We went here on a Saturday night and it was quite busy. The service was excellent. Nice friendly staff and happy to speak in English. There is a English menu available. very good seafood restaurant. Limited seating inside with outdoor seating available. We got the grilled scampi and five mixed fish dish. Both came with fried potatoes with onions. It was delicious. Not a massive wine menu. The Pinot white was a bit bitter, Chardonnay is a lot superior wine. Good value for money!! Would visit again.

This is a wonderful place to eat very tasty and not expensive. I was impressed by the warmth of the administration (waiters), they speak English which is important to me, cook big plates and the taste of food is on the highest level and quality 👍 I ordered a fish soup and fish&chips, strongly recommend 💪And what is important to me is the details. In the toilet there are personal hygiene products (hand cream, deodorant, antiseptic and feminine accessories). My 5 stars goes to this place!

Great value for the money and nice service. Fish was clearly very fresh, and the calamari was the most tender I've ever had (the rest of the group concurred). The place is a little cramped, but it's worth it to come. I recommend getting of the mixed plates so you can try all sorts of fresh fish. Food takes a while to come out when they're busy, as there's only one grill. But the wait is worth it! Bathroom onsite, and CASH ONLY (but there's an ATM a short distance up the street).
