In search of the best coffee in Hamburg (not an easy pick) we came across Stockholm Espresso Club. Owned by a Swede, who sources the beans from the best suppliers in Northern Europe, and also is extremely knowledgeable about the coffe bean trade, this is a small café with few seats inside and a few tables outside. Sometimes there can be a little wait, but it is well worth it. We tried a cortado, a flat white, and a cappuccino and all were delicious and prepared to perfection. We also tried some of the bakery products and they were delicious too. But the real highlight on the breakfast menu are the organic egg sandwiches. Huge, with different toppings, avocado, and parmesan cheese on top - easily the best breakfast sandwich we have tried in Hamburg! We particularly like the atmosphere here. The staff is professional and very friendly and the friendliness seems to be contagious - the customers are much the same, and this isn’t always the case in other parts of Hamburg. We highly...

We came here with big expectations and wanted to order. The lady told us that if we wanna sit down at the place, she can gladly come over and take our orders. We waited for 20 minutes but she didn't even hint that she will be with us. I get it, it was busy but it seemed to me that she was lazy and preferred other customers & didn't even take into account who came in and went out of the cafe. I still wanna give here a second chance but I can't wait for another 15-30 mins just for a coffee. It's not even a restaurant. They can maybe change this policy and only accept orders at...

The food and coffee is of very high quality, therefore it’s a great shame that the service is unacceptable and doesn’t even begin to hold up to the same standard. We waited both for the drinks and food over an hour. And when it at last arrived parts of our order was forgotten and our waiter - instead of apologizing - wouldn’t believe our earlier order. Two couples left because the waiter didn’t take on their orders after asking him and then waiting for an additional 10 min.

I really like this place but if you don’t bring plenty of time and patience, this is not the right...

Some of the best coffee in Hamburg. Hands down. The attention paid to the quality of their products is noticeable in everything I have tried. They also have fresh juices, both veggie and fruit. Have patience, when the Cafe is full it may take a bit to get your order, but you won't be disappointed with how it tastes. Their muffins and baked goods are also a treat. I havnt had their breakfast, as I usually take my coffee and treat to go, but die to the amount of people who are eating, I would also guess it's worth it! Pictured: mixed berry muffin and large latte to go.

Literally the worst coffee that I've ever had in Hamburg. Possibly ever. I ordered a single espresso and it was extremely sour. I came here because of the good reviews, expecting a good espresso, but was thoroughly disappointed. EDIT: From 1 to 2 stars because the barista was very friendly and explained that the sourness is due to their style, and their special Swedish blend. However the espresso was still very bad for my taste, and I don't see the point of acquiring a taste for sour espresso.
