Firstly, I would like to compliment the kitchen - the food is very good. And for this reason, the 3 stars. However, the front of house/service lets the kitchen down. Despite a reservation being made a week in advance ( in person), our reservation had not been noted. As this was for a special occasion, this was an embarrassment in front of our guests. We were lucky that a table was available and we were seated. Within 45 mins, we received our drinks but not all at the same time. Our food order was then taken and about 30 mins later the first course arrived. Approx 45 mins after the plates were cleared, we received main course but one of the dishes was incorrect and this guest then received their dish after all other guests were finished. After requesting the bill and confirming that the bill be presented to me, the Service approached the table handed me the bill and announced the amount of the bill in front of all guests. We did not once receive an apology for the reservation not being noted, incorrect dish and lateness of serving of this dish. One had the feeling that we were a burden and the service was definitely not worth the prices charged. I am more than happy to pay at this level of pricing but I also expect a standard of service representative of these prices. Not once did the manager approach our table despite making visits to all other tables. This is really disappointing as Hanau deserves more restaurants with the culinary skills coming out of this kitchen. Will we return? The discussion from our guests was...

Ambiente: Das Qui – Cucina & Bar beeindruckt sofort mit seiner eleganten und zugleich gemütlichen Atmosphäre. Das Interieur ist stilvoll gestaltet, mit warmen Farben, hochwertigen Materialien und einer geschmackvollen Dekoration, die an die mediterrane Lebensart erinnert. Die offene Küche bietet einen faszinierenden Blick auf das geschäftige Treiben der Köche, was dem Restaurant eine einladende und lebendige Note verleiht.

Service: Der Service im Qui – Cucina & Bar ist herausragend. Das Personal ist äußerst freundlich, aufmerksam und professionell. Von der Begrüßung bis zum Abschied wird man bestens umsorgt. Besonders beeindruckend war die Kompetenz und Herzlichkeit des Servicepersonals, das stets zur Stelle war, um Empfehlungen auszusprechen oder auf besondere Wünsche einzugehen.

Kulinarik: Die Küche des Qui – Cucina & Bar ist ein wahres Fest für die Sinne. Die Speisekarte bietet eine hervorragende Auswahl an traditionellen italienischen Gerichten, die mit frischen und hochwertigen Zutaten zubereitet werden. Jeder Gang war ein Erlebnis für sich und spiegelte die Leidenschaft und das Können der Küchencrew wider.

Ich begann mein Abendessen mit einer Vorspeise von Carpaccio di Manzo, das zart und geschmackvoll war, begleitet von einem knackigen Rucolasalat und gehobeltem Parmesan. Als Hauptgericht wählte ich die hausgemachten Tagliatelle al Tartufo, die perfekt al dente waren und mit einer herrlich aromatischen Trüffelsauce serviert wurden. Ein absoluter Hochgenuss!

Zum Abschluss gönnte ich mir ein klassisches Tiramisu, das so leicht und fluffig war, dass es auf der Zunge zerging. Die Dessertkarte lässt keine Wünsche offen und bietet eine wunderbare Auswahl an süßen Köstlichkeiten, die den Abend perfekt abrunden.

Getränke: Auch die Getränkekarte lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Weinauswahl ist exzellent und bietet eine Vielzahl italienischer Weine, die perfekt mit den angebotenen Speisen harmonieren. Der Sommelier war sehr kompetent und half mir, den idealen Wein für mein Menü zu finden. Auch die Cocktails sind hervorragend gemixt und ein Genuss für sich.

Fazit: Qui – Cucina & Bar in Hanau ist ein absolutes Muss für alle Liebhaber der italienischen Küche. Das wunderschöne Ambiente, der hervorragende Service und die exzellente Küche machen jeden Besuch zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Ob für ein romantisches Dinner, ein geselliges Beisammensein oder einen besonderen Anlass – dieses Restaurant ist die perfekte Wahl. I’ve lived in Italy for a couple of years and have tried countless Italian restaurants in Frankfurt, but this place is by far the most authentic and delicious I’ve found in Hessen. A few friends and I visited recently, and every single dish was outstanding.

The highlight for me was their homemade Vitello Tonnato — unlike any I’ve had before, even in Piemonte! The texture was perfect, and the tonnato sauce was rich, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. You can really tell it was made with care and passion.

What truly made the experience even more special was the service. The waitresses are incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely warm — it felt more like visiting friends than just dining out.

If you’re looking for real Italian food made with heart, this is the place. We’ll absolutely be coming back.
