Went there to wait for two hours or so for a friend of ours to come, as it was the cafeteria that was closest to his house. We went without a reservation. We ordered a coffee a sandwich and a scrambled eggs dish for brunch. Payed in total around 20+ euros. Food was very nice and portions were big. After finishing the food we were waiting there and just talking and after some time the waiter comes and asks us if we will have something else, at which we replied that we were ok. After some time he asked us again to which we said the same, that we were waiting. After a while he comes again to our table and says “ok my friends we must go to some direction with this”. Make your own sense of this sentence. We thought that he strongly implied that if we didn’t pay for anything else, we had to leave. I sadly didn’t ask him to clarify what he meant at that time, but I can at least warn you: it is highly likely they will throw you out if you stop consuming, even if you have already paid a moderately high...
Read moreThis place was a surprise hit for us today. The other cafés nearby were full, due to their limited seating, but this place had a good amount of seating options for its size. The two ladies who served us were wonderful, smiling, friendly, and even spoke both English as well as Deutsch.
My Italian GF girlfriend was quite impressed with the Almond Milk Latte, I enjoyed the Pistachio Latte, and we both thought that the lemon meringue and berry tarts pretty good (even though I've always normally preferred a more pie-like crust, myself).
What really surprised me was the sandwich. My meat & mayonnaise sandwich-eating self kind of ordered this out of morbid curiosity, having been disappointed by many similar (and, oh so dry) sandwiches of it's kind. This was, not only surprisingly the right amount of moist, but more flavorful than any of the ones I've tried before.
All of this combined is more than enough make this a go-to place whenever we're in the area. Thanks,...
Read moreThe place is nice, but not the way they treat the guests!!! We made a reservation for a breakfast on a sunday morning. When we went there, there were only 3-4 tables occupied and they showed us one of the three small tables with uncomfortable chairs and located next to the kitchen in a tight place. We asked for other tables combined together and they said they are not available and we thought may be they are reserved for groups and sit in one of the uncomfortable tables they showed us. Just a while later, we realized that they split those combined tables and gave them to new guests who came as 2 people. We were quite sad to realize that those tables were actually not for group reservation and they just did not want to offer them to us… Then we left without ordering anything. The way they treat guests differently was...
