While strolling through the charming streets of Seebad Ahlbeck, I stumbled upon Cafe Wenisch, a quaint and traditional establishment that caught my eye due to its familiar last name. Intrigued, I decided to step inside, and I’m so glad I did. This café, with over forty years of local history, exudes warmth and authenticity.

Upon entering, I had the pleasure of chatting with the owner, who shared the rich history of the place. Cafe Wenisch boasts a vast selection of cakes and ice creams, all handmade in-house—a rarity these days. Despite not being very hungry, I opted for a cappuccino and a slice of their house-made cheesecake. The cheesecake was simply delightful, with a taste that far exceeded its modest appearance.

The staff’s friendliness and the quality of the treats made the visit truly memorable. Even though the cakes may not look overly fancy, their flavors are outstanding, reflecting genuine craftsmanship and quality ingredients.

Before leaving, I decided to try their ice cream to go. Made with real fruit, the ice cream’s natural and vibrant flavors were a testament to their dedication to using high-quality, authentic ingredients.

Ambiente? Ja, der tolle Charme der Location. Leider wird dieser vom Personal nicht widergespiegelt. Wir haben 4 Eisbecher bestellt. Einer war die „Heiße Liebe“, auf unseren Wunsch ohne Sahne. Wir bekamen eine weiße Schale mit 3 Kugeln Vanille-Eis und geschmacklosen angewärmten Sauerkirschen „aus dem Glas“ in einer Edelstahl-Sauciere. Was für ein Charme 😂😂😂 Zum Bezahlen ging ich rein, weil die Bedienung trotz mehrmaligem Ansprechen nicht kam (es waren nur 4 Tische belegt). Auf die „Heiße Liebe“ angesprochen, fiel die Inhaber der Bedienung direkt ins Wort und meinte, wenn man schon „Heiße Liebe“ ohne Sahne bestellt, könne man eh nichts mehr machen. 😂😂😂 Liebe Inhaberin, mit dieser Einstellung zu Ihren Gästen“ wird das nichts mit Ihrem Geschäft. Deutsch: Ich habe beim ersten Besuch ein Stuck Mohnkuchen und ein Stuck Kirsch gegessen. Beide sind super lecker. Ich muss aber sagen, dass der Service mir am besten gefällt. Der Chef hat nicht nur meine Bestellung vom ersten Mal erinnert, er hat auch alles mit einem Lächeln gemacht. Ich komme sehr gerne wieder. Hoffentlich bald!
