I heard great things about this restaurant and was looking forward to going. I had a group of 6 people and made reservation ahead of time. I wavered between 3 and 4 stars, and honestly the owner not making things right is why it dropped to three stars. They put a lot of work into designing and decorating the restaurant. It looks very upscale. We were seated right away, the server took drink and appetizer order. She brought most of these out quickly, but didn’t know what things were or who got what. Then the owner came out while we were eating our appetizers and started handing us each a shot. Weird she was doing this during the appetizer. And I didn’t see her do this at any other tables. Then, she started taking our menus and we had to explain to her we hadn’t ordered our meals. We needed to ask the server to bring plates for the appetizers and she still hadn’t brought two of the drink orders. When it was time for our meal, the Server didn’t know what the dishes were and was telling us the wrong thing. Also, the soup and salad that was supposed to come before the meal with two of the dishes wasn’t brought out. Another server came out with rice and had to rearrange who got what because the server didn’t know. We asked about the soup and salad and he said we weren’t supposed to get it, we had to show him on the menu that we were. He then brought it out. Some people at our table ordered sushi with their meal but it was all brought on one plate and server didn’t know which each type was so it just added more confusion. We had to call the server over to order more drinks, I noticed this was the case at many tables and the servers constantly all standing on one side of restaurant talking and watching. The wine we ordered and a Coke that was never brought since ordered at the beginning were sitting at bar for at least 5 minutes, again with many servers just standing there. Then, another server brought the drinks and apologized about our server. We asked for a takeaway box for a meal that had more than half left. The server left the plate on the table and didn’t come back with container. We asked again, same thing, and then we asked a third time and she took the plate and never returned. We asked the owner about it and she said the food was thrown out. We asked for her to correct the mistake and make another portion equal to the one they threw out for us to take home. She said she wouldn’t do that but she’d take it off our bill. The server brought our bill and the dish they threw out was still on there. We told the server and she said she had to pay for the meal because of her mistake. We said it was still on the bill. The owner came over and we paid the whole bill including the dish that was thrown away. We left very upset, the owner knew this and wouldn’t make it right. The server was nice, but clearly wasn’t trained properly and that is on the owner for allowing someone with not enough knowledge about the dishes to serve people before she was ready.
A glass of wine cost 8.90€ for okay wine and the dish that got thrown out was 25.90€. We don’t mind paying 300€ for 6 people to eat, the food was good. However, when some of your food you want gets thrown away and the service is so poor, it seems...
Read moreWe came here the other night for dinner and were wildly impressed by the beautiful decorations and large menu with several options, both sushi and non-sushi. I was really looking forward to a meal here.
I ordered the chicken mango salad and made it clear to the server of my allergies (nuts and shellfish). The first salad that came out had a sauce I had asked to be taken off. Frustrated, our server took the plate and said “just so you know, this isn’t my fault, you didn’t say no sauce”
My husband corrected him, letting him know I DID ask them to leave it off, and he huffed away and didn’t come back until the new salad was ready. The second one that came out had a different sauce on it, one that wasn’t on the first salad. When I asked, he said there was no sauce.
The table next to us noticed and tried helping by translating. The manager then came out and apologized and said there were no nuts or shellfish in the sauce so I should be fine.
I hesitantly tested a piece of chicken and immediately got that tingling sensation in my mouth. I decided to not eat the rest of it and just let my husband have his sushi and I ordered Uber Eats to be delivered to our place so I could go home and eat.
The server noticed I wasn’t eating it and came up to the table, just kept repeating “no sauce on it, no sauce on it.” Again, the table next to us emphasized it was an allergy, and there was something in the way they cooked it that I couldn’t have, so I wasn’t going to finish. He said “well you still pay for it because we made 2 salads for you”
We got the check and he added drinks on we didn’t even order, and when we caught it, he huffed back and rewrote the ticket. We did pay for the salad and my husband is going to eat it for lunch today, even bough it’s not something he is really going to enjoy buy it was 20€ so no ay we are wasting it.
He enjoyed his sushi and the establishment is very clean, but the service and lack of urgency around food allergies was unacceptable. I left crying out of embarrassment and fear of going into anaphylactic shock, luckily I had my EpiPen on me.

Read moreWhile being in Germany, I’ve yet to come across a sushi restaurant that offers more than just the basic rolls. So you can imagine my excitement when I saw that the menu featured a few unique sushi rolls. Started off with some drinks and appetizers. I ordered a Thai tea. Thai tea is orange, at the least and creamy if you so desire. I was given a green tea limenade… We got some gyoza to share. They were nothing more than frozen quality but the dumpling skirt was pretty. I ordered a Miss Lee’s and the Eddi’s Devil Roll. Miss Lee’s was good, nothing extraordinary. However, Eddi’s Devil Roll was missing the only ingredient that would make it worth a whopping 15.90€: the foie gras. I politely informed the owner (who was our server) that the roll was missing something. Given the language barrier, I ended up having to just point at the ingredient description on the menu. He proceeded to take the menu to the cooks and they debated amongst themselves. One even pulling up google images to see what foie gras was. Eventually, he came back and said that they didn’t have it. I said okay. He started to walk away and I said to him that the roll is priced at 15.90€ so what? He begrudgingly motioned that he would lower the price and walked off, cursing to me in Vietnamese. I was not being rude, whatsoever. I was understanding and within my right to say what I had to say. I don’t believe I deserved to be treated in that way. He did not come back to our table and instead his wife checked us out. I received a 10% discount on my meal. Still came out to be nearly 30€.
Note to restaurant: Your employees need to know the menu and the owner SHOULD DEFINITELY know the menu. If you’re out of an ingredient, then don’t sell that menu item. And definitely don’t talk shit in Viet thinking that your customer isn’t going to know...
