Smaller menu but a decent selection (I forgot to take photos 🤦♀️🤦♀️ - I was so flustered from having gotten lost in KL trying to find the place lol I can't do the city) - desserts, omlettes, sandwiches, wine, tea, coffee, juice
Please be patient with the staff. This is a smaller establishment, and they seem to be quite popular, so things may take a while. The kitchen is very tiny, and I think they only have 1 person making food, so things may come out at different times. Everything was wonderful, though - just a little reminder to be understanding and kind when...
Read moreThis used to be my favourite coffee shop in Kaiserslautern, but it has not been the same for years now (even before the name change). The coffee is okay, and the food and cakes are incredible, five stars for those easily!
However, I just do not feel welcome here anymore. You are asked to wait at the door, where it takes up to ten minutes for a waiter to approach you even when the shop is virtually empty. And every single time, they just tell you "sit anywhere you like". Then why did you make me wait there? If you ignore the sign and just sit at an empty table, you are chastised. In addition, the waiters hurry you along. Many things just give me the feeling that I am not supposed to spend time here; I am supposed to gulp my coffee, leave some money, and get out as soon as possible to make space for the next customer. Even when there are upwards of ten empty tables.
Nowadays I only come here if all the good coffee shops are closed. There are better vegan options in Kaiserslautern these days, and there are definitely options where you are treated more like a guest and less like a money...
Read moreLocation for the Cafe is just off of the main walk-way in Kaiserslautern. They accept card which is a huge plus. This is known for its vegan and vegetarian options.
Upon entering you have to wait to be seated. Their is plenty of seats available. My favorite would be the outdoor seating especially with good weather. I think this place is more for a coffee and a dessert than a brunch spot.
Food wise there menu consists of four items. This is not including their cakes and dessert items. I went with the pancakes as the item I wanted was no longer available. As for a drink I tried the Cold brew (was refreshing and was what you expect out of a cold brew. Taste of the pancakes were fluffy and smothered in what seemed to be a berry sauce. Fresh and tasty.
In conclusion, I would say this place is more to stop by relax have a coffee or tea with something for a quick bite. I enjoyed my time here and will give it a try again...
