Romulus et Remus — Restaurant in Karlsruhe

I’ve been to Romulus et Remus several times now and can safely say that the food is very high quality. The vegetables are well chosen and fresh, the meat is very well prepared and seasoned, and the pasta is also top quality. Their breads and pizzas also benefit greatly from their large traditional oven that leaves them well baked and absolutely authentic. The favors of the dishes are all well balanced and true to their names without leaving anything to be desired or missing. They also have deliciously strong coffee with a wonderful home made tiramisu for dessert. The prices are refreshing for a local, fresh restaurant. Really nice modern feeling Italian restaurant, the people are very friendly, the owner stopped to have a chat and is very fluent in English. The lady who served us was really nice (my dad's sort of a known customer and I think they were interested in being able to meet some of his family. The food is hot and fresh, well presented with good portions for a good price. I believe judging by the number of pizza boxes stacked on one area they also offer a very healthy takeaway. This is an amazing restaurant you would definitely miss out on if you don’t know where to look! I happen to be staying in Durlach on travel for work and was able to stop at this restaurant 2 nights in a row! I had a lovely pasta dish with shrimp and zucchini as well as their homemade tiramisu. I did also hear from the staff that they are known for their pizzas but unfortunately I wasn’t staying in town long enough to try! The service is amazing and the staff is very friendly and accommodating to non German speakers. Definitely stop...
