Sushi & Nem Kempten — Restaurant in Kempten (Allgäu)

I ordered „82. SURF AND TURF Medium gegrilltes Rindersteak mit Riesengarnelen, auf angebratenem Gemüse mit Süßkartoffel Pommes Frites, serviert mit Avocado Creme„ the English translation on the Menu was Medium grilled beef steak with jumbo shrimps on fried vegetables, with sweet potatoe fries Served with avocado cream.

Instead I got some overcooked steak which probably was pan fried, with the jumbo shrimps (was at least satisfied with the shrimp) with a small portion of sweet Potatoe fries on a soup/sauce with precooked vegetables and No avocado cream.

I informed the waitress that this was not what I ordered and she offered to bring me the avocado cream on a SIDE if I want. This is still not what I ordered and I ofcourse did not want the avacado cream because it did not fit the dish (sauce/soup) they had already presented.

She informed me if I accept the dish as it is I have to pay full price, but they can offer me a coffee. Now I do not have a problem paying for my food. That’s why I went out in the first place. My problem here is the general lack of attention to detail and the lack of attention to customer satisfaction.

I do not want that you offer me a free meal but at least a more empathetic and genuine dialogue would have been better and perhaps I would consider visiting again. Instead the manager even told me that in Germany we do not offer discounts as if to insinuate that I am inexperienced and i am not aware what happens in this industry.

I also ordered sushi as a starter. This was the worst sushi I ever tasted. The Rice was so over cooked that it made a mud in the mouth.

Why would I want to wait or order anything else from this kitchen? I did not expect it to be better. So in the end, I eat the shrimp and hurriedly eat the fries before it got soaked in that sauce.

There is an overall mismatch between what you get and what you pay for. And unfortunately the quality is not...

The food tasted amazing. The arrangement was also nice to the eye. The waiters were very friendly. The location looks pretty good.

In my opinion the price performance is a little bit too high but still, I would come back.

What I greatly dislike was the waiting time. We had to wait to order our drinks and food. And we had to wait for the main dishes that we especially said please bring everything at the same time (entree and main course)

Sadly, we had to ask two times to get it faster.

Still, I would recommend this restaurant because the variety and the food were top notch. The next time, we would specify again when we want our food. Maybe the second time...

Essen und Atmosphäre sind eigentlich in Ordnung. Eine der "Bedienungen" und die Bewirtung generell hat den eigentlich positiven Eindruck jedoch leider komplett zunichte gemacht. Nachdem ein einfaches Gericht nach 75 Minuten Wartezeit, in welcher alle anderen Personen am Tisch bereits aufgegessen haben, noch nicht kam, habe ich ein 3. Mal sachlich nachgefragt, wie lang mein Gericht noch dauert. Den daraufhin angebotenen Espresso habe ich ausgeschlagen, worauf mich die Bedingung mit den Worten "ich muss mich von dir nicht blöd anmachen lassen, ich kann auch nichts dafür" stehen ließ. Das essen (Nr. 60) kam dann nach 2 Stunden doch noch bei mir an. Die restlichen Gäste am Tisch wurden dann aber nicht mehr bedient (Getränke waren leer, einige wollten einen Nachtisch), woraufhin wir letztendlich das Lokal verließen. So wie gesagt trotz der schönen Atmosphäre nicht zu empfehlen.

[Antwort auf Reaktion] Vielen Dank für die Antwort. Wie oben gesagt, hat mir das Essen geschmeckt. Auch die Wartezeit wäre zu verschmerzen gewesen, so etwas kann passieren, wenn man ordentlich darüber informiert wird. Das einen die Bedienung allerdings beschimpft und persönlich angreift, wenn man nachfrägt, wie lang das essen noch dauert und dann verschwindet, kann nicht sein und habe ich so noch nie erlebt! Und dass sie anschließend alle anderen am Tisch nicht weiter beachtet und 12 Gäste vor leeren Gläsern sitzen, erst...
