Café Hugo — Restaurant in Lindau (Bodensee)

Most expensive coffee I ever had and rudest staff. Ordered an Americano + Decaf Oat Latte. Charged €10.60! At the end of making the Americano he asked if I wanted milk, I said yes please, a splash of regular milk. He charged 70c each for decaf coffee and 80c each cup for soja milk, even though I wanted normal milk in mine and did not ask for mine to be decaf. I pointed this out after getting the receipt and he just kept saying stuff in German to other guests. He was talking in German about “his job being to speak English” or something along those lines, the whole time he was making my coffee. Rubbish experience on our last morning after a wonderful trip to Lindau. Uncomfortable. Not recommended. And I hate Oat milk so my coffee tastes horrible. Disgusting.

Der teuerste Kaffee, den ich je hatte und das unhöflichste Personal. Bestellte einen Americano + Decaf Oat Latte. 10,60 € berechnet! Am Ende der Zubereitung des Americano fragte er, ob ich Milch möchte, ich sagte ja, bitte, einen Spritzer normale Milch. Er berechnete jeweils 70 c für entkoffeinierten Kaffee und 80 c pro Tasse für Sojamilch, obwohl ich normale Milch in meiner haben wollte und nicht darum bat, dass meine koffeinfrei ist. Ich wies darauf hin, nachdem ich die Quittung erhalten hatte, und er sagte immer wieder Sachen auf Deutsch zu anderen Gästen. Er redete die ganze Zeit, während er meinen Kaffee kochte, auf Deutsch von „sein Job ist es, Englisch zu sprechen“ oder so ähnlich. Blödes Erlebnis an unserem letzten Morgen nach einer wunderbaren Fahrt nach Lindau. Unbequem. Nicht empfohlen. Und ich hasse Hafermilch, also schmeckt mein Kaffee...
