Really bad experience. If you like having fun, don't go here.
To begin with, the staff was incredibly rude and inattentive. Despite making a reservation, we were made to wait for over 30 minutes before being seated. The hostess seemed disinterested and failed to provide any explanation or apology for the delay. Our server was equally apathetic, rarely checking on our table and taking an eternity to bring our drinks.
The quality of the food was abysmal. The menu boasted a variety of dishes, but the execution fell flat. My order arrived cold and undercooked, while my dining companion's meal was overcooked and lacked any semblance of flavor. When we brought these issues to the attention of our server, they displayed a dismissive attitude and made no effort to rectify the situation.
Furthermore, the cleanliness of the restaurant left much to be desired. The tables were sticky and covered in food residue, and the floors appeared as if they hadn't been swept in days. It was clear that proper hygiene and sanitation practices were not a priority in this establishment.
To add insult to injury, the prices were exorbitant for the subpar experience we received. We expected a certain level of quality given the restaurant's reputation, but it failed to deliver on every front. The overall lack of value for money was simply unacceptable.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against dining here. The combination of rude staff, poorly executed dishes, lack of cleanliness, and high prices make for an utterly disappointing experience. Save yourself the frustration and seek out a more reputable establishment that values...
Read moreOnly bad experiences in this place. I definitely do not recommend it.
The first time, we specifically made a reservation for the outside area, and our table was switched from the Biergarten area "due to weather reasons" to the Maschinenraum, deep in the bowels of the ship, surrounded by its walls with very tiny windows. Dark, hot, and claustrophobic, on the way of everyone that came in. We went for the sunset, but due to corona restrictions (understandable, of course), we could not stay anywhere other than at the reserved table (in a place we didn't choose). Drinks are also expensive.
The second time there was an event I wanted to check out, but they put it in the hottest area available. Later, the bartender asked me if I had already got the Pfandmarke. I misunderstood her asking me if I had change for the beer I'd just purchased. Her colleague yelled that I had already got the Pfandmarke, and then I realized what she'd asked, tried to explain, and he was aggressive, dismissive, and rude, and spoke over me.
Overall an extremely unpleasant experience. I'll definitely never return or recommend it to anyone. You're better off admiring it from afar. Or go in, check the boat out and leave for a drink...
Read moreWhat an awesome restaurant and meetup place. The restaurant is much bigger than what one can initially see off the street, which means seating is likely available when you arrive. (They unfortunately don't take reservations for small parties though so you have to arrive and hope for the best.)
All the festive lights give the place such a nice atmosphere, they had a few craft stalls and live music as part of their Weihnachtsmarkt, and of course Glühwein. The Glühwein was unfortunately not that nice for us, it was much too sweet. The food on the other hand was devine!
We opted for the African dishes of which they have vegetarian, vegan and meat and coming from the African continent ourselves, we can confidently say the meals transported us home. It was so delicious and perfect for a cold evening. The service was a little bit slow here, we stood in a very short queue for a long time, but the chef was so friendly.
Our dinner was followed by crepes - a perfect ending to a good meal. The crepe - lady was super friendly, chatty and we left feeling well satisfied with our choices.
The pizzas also looked amazing so we'll definitely have to return again to try those out, and to enjoy the cool...
