I went to this place on a Friday with a friend around 20. I would recommend to make a reservation: we got one of the last places the bar. The atmoshphere of Bodega is really nice: it feels like an authentic restaurant and given that the place was full of people, it must be good! We ordered several tapas (Calamaretti, pan con tomate, Manchego, Boquerones en Vinagre, Albóndigas) and drank both two glasses of red wine and an aperativo. The food and the drinks were both very good. Especially the calamaretti was super soft and had a nice gentle sauce on the side. After dinner we drank two cortado's and shared a dessert. This all costed around +/- €90, which seemed at first a bit expensive, but since we had so many dishes and glasses of wine I think it's an O.K. price. Sometimes you had to wait a little bit for a dish or a drink, because it was very busy. We didn't mind at all, since we had a lot of time. The place is really inviting you to stay for a long time: we spend around 3 hours at Bodega. I'm really exciting about this place and I would definitely recommend it...
Read moreThe food was delicious but the service was very disappointing, especially if one is sitting outside. We reserved a table inside, they placed us outside and then after ordering and sitting for ten minutes they asked us to switch tables with another couple because they had a baby and a stroller, which by itself was not a problem but they gave us a table at a worse spot that had dirty “fresh” cutlery/ glasses. Because of this, the waiters were then confused about who order what.
The tables were also too close together, which can be distracting and annoying if the people next to you are talking very loudly. The waiters were definitely very stressed, maybe they’re understaffed, so it’s difficult to get their attention.
I went there two years ago and it was totally different. I gave a 5 star review back then, but now it’s...
Read moreWorst tapas ever at outrageous prices. Friendly service. Nice decor. Take it from me, I come from Madrid and never had so tasteless tapas with such terrible Rioja wine. It's obvious that the produce is of extremely low quality, hence try to hide it with some crazy sauces. Even the waiter, seeing I knew my tapas, discouraged me from trying most of them. I doubt the "Rioja" wine costs more than 3€ a bottle. The "Manchego" cheese was not manchego at all. I get it that Munich is pricier than Madrid, maybe 20-30% more, but I paid 3x what I would've paid there for really bad (not even mediocre) food. Even the beer was bad, which is some saying in Munich. Don't waste your hard earned money here. Believe me, I know what I'm...
