I visited this restaurant with my parents and my wife. Since my parents had only arrived from India they were craving for authentic Indian food exactly like how we get in restaurants in India. This restaurant not only exceeded our expectations but also won our heart.
First of the food in short summary. Authentic Indian ( I don’t mean too spicy by that) Good variety Extremely fresh and this is very important criteria because most other restaurants just heat and serve the food which was probably cooked in the morning or a day or two before Reasonable pricing. Tailored food to your liking and taste
Location - it’s centrally located in a very bustling area which is not too crowded but just enough to make the atmosphere very lively. The garden area of the restaurant adds much joy of enjoying fine meal to the overall experience of fine dining.
Last but not the least, the owners sudhakar and nilesh are extremely friendly, they take a personally responsibility to make sure that every guest is enjoying their meal and tailor the food to the needs of customer which is something no restaurants so far does. The owners connect very well with their customers and offer a delightful experience.
I will make sure to visit this place everytime I visit Munich and I have suggested this place to my friends who live in Munich. I really wish more success to...
Read moreI have had been to a few not so known Indian restaurants in New York and the UK, and although they have been decent, i couldn't bother to go again. I found about Tak Krishna as a highly rated place on Google, simply because some of my German colleagues were keen to try out Indian cuisine. Since it was a highly rated( not well known), I played it safe and decided to take my colleagues there.
Being an Indian restaurant in a foreign land, I expect the regular restaurant short comings, as the cuisines are often suited to Western taste buds, but Taj Krishna was an exception in the sense that the food was tasty for me as well as my colleagues. They not only had the spice demands of the food that we ordered, but had the hotness under control.
The food we ordered was Chicken gravy planner tikka masala, shahi paneer , and okra fry. Simple food, yet so delicious, that my colleagues were literally licking their fingers ( yup for an authentic Indian experience, they ate the traditional Indian way). they themselves had a good experience, and I was glad this did go well for them.
Perfectly cooked food, with proper use of spices and herbs, and at a reasonable price. Despite being short on staff, the owner (Nileshji) himself was serving us and was very welcoming. So was his staff. I'll be visiting again soon, and I recommend it...
Read moreTaj Krishna (TK) is a very nice Indian restaurant in the city of Munich. I have tried many Indian restaurants in Munich but to me I think TK is by far one of the best authentic Indian restaurants in Munich. The main 4 reasons are:
The quality of food is very tasty and very much authentic like the native taste of the dishes.
The staffs are very cordial and always eager to help you to know the details of the dishes.
Another interesting thing is, TK also have a wide variety of vegetarian food which are very mouth watering.
I have also seen sometimes that they also do some kind of customization for customers if they are allergic to certain food items.
I would surely recommend people to visit TK for an authentic Indian food experience. To add a note to it, so that visitors don't get confused, authentic does not mean that it will be spicy. You always have the liberty to mention you spicy level while giving out the order.
The restaurant also have a beer garden at the entrance. During summer it is also possible to sit outside and enjoy your food. On the whole, I am quite satisfied by their hospitality and that is the reason, whenever I am in Munich city nowadays, I visit them for...
