The restaurant has a nice ambience. However, that’s the only good part of this review. As we were a group of 11 and even though we reserved 2 months in advance, we were seated at 2 tables side by side.
Our waiter #1 was extremely friendly, and it was wishful thinking to imagine a great dining experience/customer service. Our menu was pre-arranged. First came the starters, which was a combination of meat/vegetarian and vegan all served in 1 platter. 😓 No regard for the gluten allergic, lactose intolerant, non-veg intolerant customers. For the main course, our menu included 3 choices of pastas, and pizzas which would be served once the pastas were eaten. Waiter #2 writes down the number of meat pastas and vegan pastas. It takes a good 1 hour after the appetizers are over for the waiter to bring the pastas. Eventually, both the pastas were of the same quantity, then why take our order? Disappointing!! With no sign of the pizzas, we finally ask the waiter before the last orders are possible. Waiter #2 is unaware of our pre-arranged menu and argues with Waiter #1. Thankfully they do bring pizzas after much confusion. There is also confusion regarding the dessert, but based on what we experienced for 3 hours, we realized not to expect much and got them on time.
Service was horrible without a doubt. Could be just the waiters or the miscommunication, but it did leave a negative impression.
Food was good. Was it worth all the hassle? Definitely not!!
Bottom-line. It was neither worth the money spent nor a...
Read moreAfter over two months of our city shutting its public life down it was an absolute treat to be enjoying company for the first time in the reopening Cucina Corleone. We had the prawn and avocado pizza, ragu linguine, the bruschetta to share and very generous serves of Aperol. Hassa and his staff have set up a safe, hygenic and relaxed dining experience in the midst of covid. Despite the extra hygiene rules (which we deeply admire and willingly comply to), it was as if dining with a covid mask was quite the norm. The partitions were unintrusive and was almost part of the design of the restaurant. I’m so pleased one of my favourite local establishments has stood the test of time, has sought for continuous improvement in these tough times and will continue to deliver an amazing experience to its guests. Please do stop by to support our locals. Most friendliest of restaurant staff in Munich and the food whisks...
Read moreA very underwhelming experience. The restaurant claims to be Italian but makes very basic mistakes (e.g. carbonara with cream, over-salting pasta dishes, under-salting pizzas), and charges an excessive price for mediocre pizzas. Our table was ready 30 minutes after the reserved time, and we were forced to order a 12€ antipasto per person only due to being a bigger group. My order came wrong, which the waiter realized only after I was done and simply said “well it’s not my fault, I told the cook to do it like you ordered”. The service was in general pretty unprofessional throughout the meal. There’s much better alternatives...
