We've never been here before and chose Dal Cavaliere for dinner for #Bigfoot's birthday and went with the whole family. Basically, you have to say that there is a lot of movement there. There is a constant coming and going in terms of branches and waiters. As a result, the service is great. Of course, it is also correspondingly loud. We had a seat in the aisle. It's certainly more pleasant further forward or right at the back, also because of the volume. For all those who have never been there. Dal Cavaliere is, as far as we could tell, a traditional Neapolitan restaurant with delicious and hearty dishes. There are also refrigerators at the entrance where high-quality meat is stored. Our food was great. Whether it was pizza caprese, pizza bresaola, pizza originale or vitello tonnato, it was a success. And you don't have to eat the black spots on the pizza. For dessert we had ice cream or tartuffo and a serenade for the birthday boy. Wonderful! The restaurant impressed us and we can only recommend it. In summer, there is also an outdoor seating area in the pedestrian zone. Wheelchair users and disabled people also have no trouble getting into the restaurant. The only thing is really the volume, but the good food and drinks do the rest, so you'll be happy to come back again! Last but not least: the restaurant is very well located and can be reached by streetcar and S-Bahn via Rosenheimer Platz. Although the dishes are a little more expensive than at Italian restaurants in the area, they taste good and fresh and there is a large selection to choose from.

Stopped here at 7 pm, on a Tuesday, from the train station after spending a day in Salzburg. We were starving and saw some good reviews on Google, so we decided to try it. The restaurant was full, but the young host told us to sit at a table by the bar, have a drink, and that a table should open up in 10 mins or so. We ordered half liter of Merlot (loved the carafe!), and sure enough, we got a table. We only ordered a pasta dish, which we are aware is not a true Italian meal. We were hungry but, at the same time, didn't have room or time for a 5-course meal! Lol. When we asked for our check, the waiter kind of gave us the look of "these darn Americans." 😂 I then joked with them about Italians eating too much! They laughed with us (or maybe at us, lol), but it was taken nicely. Overall, everything was great. It's definitely an authentic Italian restaurant! They were very busy, so people... please be patient!! It's worth the wait. Saluti! 🎉🍝🍷

Been to this restaurant multiple times whenever I visit Munich for business trip. Right next to Rosenheimer S-Bahn station. An authentic Italian restaurant which always meet my expectations. Basic than the best, their Mozzarella Cheese Pizza simply the best. This trip we tried the seafood platter, the squid, shrimp & bass were grilled to perfection, however the tuna somehow lack of some characters against other seafood component. The vegetable that went with the grilled seafood was cooked with just optimum heat which blend well in generous olive oil, among all, I really love the cauliflower & celery. Adding up the charisma of the restaurant was the friendliness & polite staff… Grazie from Singapore.

We made reservations because the night before the place was crowded so we thought ok it will be good. Wrong! Rude to indifferent service from the moment we were seated in the worst table in the back of the restaurant with a baby chair no less. Very slow service and it took one hour to get our main course of pasta which was just thrown on the table. Both pastas were undercooked and my carbonara was clearly from a package mix. Disgusting. Waiter never came back to ask how the food was or if we wanted even cheese sprinkled on our pasta. But he sure managed to have the balls to ask for a tip because he knew Americans tip and I said no. (but my partner is from Munich so he did the ordering.) Only then after I said not tip did the waiter ask if were we happy with our meal. Wrong time dude. We are not sure why the place was so busy for such lousy food and service. Too many other good restaurants in the neighborhood. We stayed at the Hilton down the street and when I told the snooty concierge he said their food was excellent. Last time we ask his recommendation.

It's ok but probably depends on your dining preferences. I wouldn't go here for a fine dining experience.

Our party of 9 visited on a Monday evening; it was surprisingly packed full and very loud, to the point where having a normal conversation was difficult.

The food was ok in terms of taste/quality, quantity and presentation. Lots of cheese on the pizzas. Pasta sauces were too salty. Desserts were average. It generally came across like an American franchise chain level of quality. We also had their 1.2kg Steak Florentine. It was fine but not great like I remember those steaks being in Florence.

Given how busy the restaurant was, the service was reasonable and the staff was ok with English.

This wouldn't be my first choice for Italian in Munich (see my other reviews), but based on the apparently many happy customers dining with us, it certainly appeals if you want to go out with a few friends for drinks in a frenetic environment and aren't that picky...
