I can’t say that I am an experienced in eating at Indian restaurants, as I inly ate at 6 or 7 in my life, but this place really left an impression on me. It is definitely the best Indian restaurant in Munich that I have been to.

The staff is super friendly, and they all speak English. You can make a reservation by a simple phone call, and they always pick up quickly, and try to make place for you. I dinned there a couple of times there, and was even late two times, but they never made a problem about it (unlike most of the the places in Munich, where they would probably not let you even dine if you were late).

Now lets come to the best part, the food. I ate there at least 10 times, and each time I took a different dish, and I was never disappointed. Literally every dish that I had was delicious.

You should never forget to order a naan, because it makes your dish much better. They have a variety of options for naans, and I tried them all, and liked them all (but my favourites is butter naan, and garlic naan). Also, their fruit drinks were also amazing (my favourite is the lichee juice).

Beside the great hospitality and the great food, I would also like to point out that the interior of the place is very interesting.

To make the experience a perfect one, when you start your dinner, they bring you a three types of sauces with some traditional thin bread (I suppose you could call it like that), and when you want to leave the restaurant they give each person a small piece of chocolate.

This is definitely one of my favourite places in Munich, and one of the places I love to bring people who come in Munich...

Ordered at 19.38. By 21.25 still nothing delivered. Delivery guy calls, Lieferando (the delivery app) shows he’s at the other end of town, over 20mins away. We cancel the order. The restaurant refuses to refund and literally says he doesn’t care whether we receive our food or not. Not his problem. Regardless of the fact that according to the app, it took them over 70mins to make our order and regardless of the fact that we are long time regular customers. Lieferando also refuses to refund as supposedly their delivery guy said he was at our location and we refused the order. Even sending them screenshots of their own app showing the guy to be on the far side of town when he was supposedly outside our door. Clearly not using Lieferando again, that’s 50 euros money lost without anything to show for it. We’ve moved to use Volt, far better experience (so far at least)! We used to order from this restaurant as they were local but now understand why the place is...

The best Dal Makhni ever. “The best” may sound unreal but here’s the deal:

So I love Dal Makhni like crazy and almost every time I hit an Indian restaurant I order Dal Makhni as one of the entrees. Whenever I travel to Munich i visit this place. I was in love with what they serve at Dhaba, however I always felt may be my fond for it is biased or influenced by my crave for Indian food. So to remove that factor and truly understand how good it is here’s what I did. Just before a few hours of boarding the flight to Munich from Pune, I ate Dal Makhni at one my fav places in Pune. Then as soon as I landed Munich, I went to Dhaba and ate Dal Makhni, and guess what - it still tasted better. The best Dal Makhni hands down.

Last time I visited this place in 2017, I’m right now in LA. Why am I writing this review now - I miss the taste and now you think...

I’ve eaten at many Indian restaurants across North America, South America, Asia and Europe. And must say, the food here was amazing! Specially the tandoori chicken with the sauce. The waiters were very kind and the service was friendly. I was parched for spices from eating all the bread, cheese and meat from restaurants in Europe and was really craving Indian food. However, I’ve unfortunately come across very mediocre Indian food restaurants in Germany and Austria, but that changed today when I visited this restaurant. I’m so glad I checked it out! Oh, and the Kulfi was delicious too. Overall, 110% recommend!

I recently visited this restaurant, and the experience was nothing short of 10/10. The ambiance was welcoming, the service was attentive, and the food was simply outstanding. The Dal Makhani was rich, creamy, and full of flavor – one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The Kadhai Paneer was equally delicious, with soft, fresh paneer and a perfectly spiced, aromatic gravy that paired wonderfully with the bread. Both dishes were prepared with great care and authenticity, making the whole meal memorable. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for genuinely delicious North Indian food.
