This is a fun little spot, buzzing with energy. We were happy we found it in Munich. Cocktails were not that good, expected them to have more flavor and strength. Food was hit or miss - some dishes were amazing like the gambas al ajilo, some others were mediocre. But that's the beauty of ordering lots of small dishes and trying. Prices were ok, but we expected more for the quality. They had a bread basket; some of the bread was nice and fresh and couple pieces of clearly day old stale bread. We did bring it to their attention, they took it away - then next batch we got was pretty much the same ratio of stale and fresh. Servers were nice and courteous. This is a cozy location with a bar and TVs to watch soccer. Dining area with tables is nice and festive. Also kid friendly, several tables had little ones with them. Enjoy!

Our experience at El Espanol was unfortunately disappointing! We had checked their menu on one of our strolls through pretty Haidhausen a few weeks back and were really impressed with their Tapas’ selection (2 full pages!) Last weekend however, the list was considerably shorter - not even one page and the options were not very appealing which was a bummer! The worst part however was the quality of the food! The Guacamole tasted weird, the veggie Tapa looked unappetising und the taste wasn’t any better and I’m certain we were served packaged Nachos. The potatoes with red sauce was the only dish that was good. Also,it is unbelievable how close the tables are to one another - we are still in the middle of a pandemic people!! Won’t bother going back..

Vegetarian friendly Small restaurant - crowded - reservation needed for peak hours Romantic Mid priced- €€€ Very good presentation Good quality Good taste Friendly service Being a vegetarian I found many choices of Tapas. The paella was piping hot the way I like it. The warm chocolate cake with ice cream was splendid. My favorite was their home made sangria! There was considerable waiting time even though we went close to 22 hours. Still the service personnel were kind and found us a table the sooner they could. One small thing I was unhappy about was they added bread for the table to my bill but never served me bread. I didn't want to make it an issue as it was less than 1€.. Probably the waiter forgot. But still I felt it wasn't right.

We have been twice to this place. The first time we had a really nice evening and enjoyed fresh cut ham from the leg. The staff were friendly even it was very busy and the kind of a boss was really cool cutting this ham for the guests. Thats why we went a second time and even brought our friends there with us looking forward to have this special ham again. This time we were disapointed because the ham was from the package. So I would recommend the management to offer always the same quality of food for the same price and not one time fresh and next time from the pack but asking for the same price. We also didnt like the coctails, they were away too strong and not balanced in the taste at all. However the guy serving us was really nice and brought me a better coctail. The food was at avarage level. We ordered Tapas and some of them were alright, but the artichokes for example were tastles and the chorizio had really watery sauce. However we enjoyed our time. In the end we made a bill for over 240€ but realized that there were 3 beers to many on the bill. Then one of the waiters said that she would ask the boss and she was ok with us not paying the 3 beers and they will deduct them from the selary of our water (???). I think it is very unprofessional to make the guests feeling gulty that because of this misunderstanding the nice water has to pay 3 beers. But however this is their politic and in the end this is not guests problem how the management is organizing their staff payments and selaries. However we apriciated not having to pay these 3 beers and deceided to tip so this poor guy didnt need to pay these beers so we paid in the end 240€ out of 242,90€. When we were about to leave the boss said we are not allowed to leave because we have not paid bill. We said we just paid our bill and even tipped. She didnt let us go and ask for an address from us to send us the remaining bill (2,90€). In the end we ended up arguing and even mentioned to call the police which would of been really radiculous to call the police because of 2,90€. When we offered her in the end to pay these 2,90€ she asked us to leave and not come back to this restaurant any more. I just want to ask, is this a normal thing to make a problem because of 2,90€ when your guests just spent 240€ in your restaurant and complained that they have been charged too many beers. I dont think the management of the restaurant is very correct how they behave to guests and staff. However I am giving them 2 stars becuase oft he nice place and the nice guy water tryed to satusfied...

The location was really nice. Nice people, nice atmosphere like in Spain.

The stuff was good but they forgot us at the beginning and served two other tables first. We were 2 adults and 1 kid. Even though there are no kids chairs, they can easily sit on the chair as the table is bit lower.

I expected more from the food as the pics looked really nice. We tried out the Croquetas (with shrimps) and that's it. Outside looked nice but inside was bit too much creamy like a bechamel sauce from a lasagne and there was one veeeery small piece of shrimps. Don't order it.

We ordered Paella with seafood for two people and we had to wait 30min (they told us). However, the pan still had liquid, shouldn't it be dry? The rice was for us too al dente, not sure whether it is supposed to be? The seafood on top was definitely not cooked together with the rice, there was 0 taste (dry and tasteless shrimps, mussels with no flavor, fish which was not well cooked from my point of view). Overall we just ate it, but there was no love...
