EscoBar — Restaurant in Munich

This would've easily been a 5 star review if not for the long wait times as mentioned in other reviews. We came in for our reserved table at 7pm, ordered at 7:45pm, got our food at 9pm. The problem probably stems from the restaurant being overcrowded (which I don't mind that much) and the staff being overworked because of that. Fortunately, our waitress was really nice and at least understood that food was taking quite some time to arrive (better than it not being acknowledged at all). The drinks were also really good and decently priced. Food wise, everything tasted amazing and fresh, portions were also huge. I don't understand why people are expecting Mexican food when the restaurant is clearly advertising as Tex-Mex, so it's automatically going to have small differences between certain dishes. All in all, a good place to eat, if you're willing to wait a bit longer for your food and feel like you're sitting shoulder to shoulder with other people. Also, if you're planning on visiting on a weekend night, make sure you reserve your table at the beginning of the week. Bathrooms could be a bit better stoked with hand tissues next to the sink, but that just comes back to the staff probably not having time to refill since there's not enough...

Don't waste your money on take out.. Not sure how the food is at the restaurant but the food we got delivered to us was terrible. The Nachos were stale tortilla chips that were as thin as paper with zero taste. For €6.70 you'd at least expect decent Nachos but no they were horrid. They simply came with dips instead of actually preparing Nachos and the dips consisted of salsa, guac and sour cream which all tasted pretty rancid, the guac seemed as if came from a tube and not actually real avocados. My friend and I both ordered enchiladas which were not fantastic as the rice was flavourless and extremely dry, the spices were also not authentic. My other friend got the Tacos which were also seemingly quite awful, especially since they weren't even in Taco shells. The salad was also quite shocking but I can't complain since it was free of charge. Overall we spent €60 on our order when it was worth about €20 or even less. Poor quality food and just extremely disappointing.. Definitely never ordering from here again. (This should really be a 0.5/5...

I went here with 2 girlfriends and we were definitely the slightly annoying excited group that can be annoying to servers- they were ultra nice to us anyway.

The drinks were delicious, we had various speciality cocktails and a few shots. The food was also tasty and authentic tasting- especially the veggie fajitas!

Anyways, the vibes are good, the food is nice and the servers are super friendly. I will be back and would recommend.
