Ferdings Bar — Restaurant in Munich

This is by far one of the worst restaurants in Munich. Prices are exorbitant for very little food. Gnocchis for 6,9€ you get 3 pieces! The salmon also 3 very thin slices for 12,5€!! The curry without topping cost 8,5€ for almost non existant rice and mainly currysauce with litte vegetables on top. The dessert I had (chocolate gateau), dry and you get canned pieces of fruit and „as much“ vanilla ice cream as you got rice in your curry. No way to be full. In the end, for 8 tapas between me and partner including the dessert, it cost with 10€ tip (which we dearly regret): 110€!!! Also service not particularly nice. But to think that they dare bring so little food for such crazy prices is unbelievable. Just as it was full of people (cannot understand this) and when we came out our ears were ringing. The place when full is just so loud … All in all I cannot understand the good reviews at all and will never again go there. So far the best restaurant I’ve been to in Munich. The atmosphere is really nice, its dimly lit which creates a cosy feeling. There are planters around so the incorporation of greenery into the restaurant is a nice and warm contrast to the darker tones they have used in the decoration. It’s like a bar/restaurant and the food plates are small to be ordered 2/3 different ones. We ordered 3 different ones and they were all amazing. Each dish comes from a different country so I really enjoyed that theme as well. They have their own cocktails as well and add some twists to some classic ones. The service was amazing. One of my favourite restaurants in town!! Would love to come back anytime. First, the manager and staff are super nice. We didn’t reserve online but the manager was happy to make an arrangement in the call. Second, the food menu is limited but international cuisine. We had 6 different plates.
