Der grüne mit schaum und matcha hírō. Mit dem bambusbesen wird der beschattet angebaute grüntee geschlagen und mit pflanzenmilch aufgegossen.
Tancho Latte
Midori no okashi.
(Chawan, 40 g)

We came here every day during our long weekend in Munich – it became our favorite place to start the day. Rarely have I seen a café or teahouse so lovingly and thoughtfully designed. Everything – from the elegant interior to the selection of food and drinks – felt carefully curated, with fresh flowers adding a beautiful touch. The tea menu was extensive and inspiring; we found it hard to choose! Each tea was served in its proper vessel – delicate cups, glasses, or bowls – along with all the tools needed for multiple infusions. It was a true tea ritual. We tried several of the vegan cakes, and every single one was excellent. My personal favorites were the black sesame cake and a nut-chocolate tart that was incredibly rich and creamy – pure indulgence. The staff were wonderfully kind and took the time to explain the different steeping techniques for each type of tea with real passion. We would’ve gladly spent the whole day there. It’s a place that invites you to slow down, savor, and simply feel good. An absolute gem.

*Update - Rating 3,5* 3 yrs on and this is still one of my fav cafes in Munich, love that they have Roiboos chai 😍 But the cakes really are a „hit-n-miss“ here. They are drier than normal cakes but the choc red beet today was so dry it was impossible to swallow without some tea! The service is also exceptionally slow, especially for teas. So if you have 30 more min and want to order another tea, it’s probably not gonna be worth it 😅🙊 They also leave the door open for „some fresh air“ for really long periods of time so it get’s cold & uncomfortable but they are adamant abt leaving it open for as long as they see fit 🥶 What a great cafe - warm and comfy with chilled out music playing in the background, a haven for tea-lovers and a great place to go by yourself to read a book or even to work (atleast during the week). The walnut cake was delicious but expensive and the service was a bit slow.

As others have put it, we are absolutely lucky to have this place in Munich. Such an amazing place to try a variety of tea from around the world. The owners try to get organic tea, and to build a relationship with these tea grower and handlers. Such a rarity these days, but it is clear to taste in the teas. I found the interior absolutely lovely and cozy. If you are looking for an amazing activity on a rainy day, or cold winter day, this is the place to warm up your soul. We had a recommended green tea that gave you a reminder of childhood memories of playing on grass and bbqing. The second was a spice chai latte with almond milk. Which gave you a world wind of complexities. Finally, we had a matcha cake with nuts. It was a lovely additions to add on to the teas characters.

Sadly, I need to update my review for one of my favourite places in Munich. I used to love this gem of a place and coming here was a little ritual I enjoyed. Their bowls were delicious, clean and healthy. They also have a great selection of high quality teas.

However, I am shocked and speechless at the recent price increase of their bowls. They increased the price once during the lockdown, but I thought given the circumstances then, I could still somehow accept it. But now, the small bowl has gone up from 12.80€ to 14.80€, which is extremely expensive for the quality and variety of toppings as it is really a small portion. The big bowl costs 18.80€ now. That is simply ridiculous and hard to justify in any way. The last 3 times I had the bowl, I was also disappointed with the taste.

Additionally, the masala chai has become very diluted and tasteless in recent months. I mentioned this to the staff a few times but their response was always “it depends on who makes the chai for the day”. In other words, no quality control?

The cakes are also a “hit and miss”. Some can be dry while others are moist. Plus, 5.80€ for a small slice of cake is just hard to swallow.

I know that inflation is making it hard to ignore the rising cost of business for many, including restaurants and cafes, but this extreme price increase AND a noticeable drop in quality are just not ok. So it is with a sad and heavy heart that I update this review and say...

Horrible service. Super disappointed from a place like that in a trendy cool area like Glockenbachviertel. From minute one actually where we were ordering and the lady at the cashier shouting 'where am I seated?' in a tone that we are dumb! Ordered matcha with oat milk, received matcha with almond milk, no excuses from the staff, as it was a MUST that I accept it. I accepted it because of not wanting to waste it, any 'thank you' or sign of appreciation? Not really, just as if it was my duty to do that lol! And the most horrible of all: for paying at the end, my credit card has been TAKEN from my hand and this is completely unacceptable. I wanted to insert it in the machine and not use the contactless option, and the waitress at the cashier was like: IT WORKED, with such an unpleasant fake yellow smile! This is ABSOLUTELY not ok to take a customer's credit card from their hand, since when is this working like that? In each place in Munich, I insert my card myself OR pay by contactless method also MYSELF. And she DARED with all the unfriendliness of the world and not a little glimpse of a smile to shout that it worked. H O R R I B L E, never EVER again. Also, the avocado chocolate cake tastes HORRIBLE. Never ever again, such a pity to have a place like that in that lovely location. AH also a place that says '100% vegan' and charges you extra for vegan milk alternatives, are...

I was first time in Tushita and amazed by the ambient and offers. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience with the service. It started at the counter, where I first waited 5min until somebody noticed me (it was not super busy) and then I ordered two drinks for me and my friend. Okay. Then, we wait 10min, we give it another 10, no tea. I go ask if the order was even placed. We figured out it was a misunderstanding and they gave the order to someone else (but no one came out to ask!!) No problem, we order again and with it food. We even went sit inside so we dont miss each other again. Again, we wait 10min, give it another 10…by now an hour almost passed and no order came by. Since we didnt have any more time to wait and nobody said or asked anything we said we have to go and cancel the order. And nobody said anything!!!! Not even sorry or that the order is almost done or anything like this! So basically we sat there 1 hour waiting for two drinks and one food order. It was really disappointing, especially to my friend who is (has been since now) a regular guest there… I really dont like to give bad reviews and understand the stress behind bar counters, but this was just unprofessional and ignorant service. The only good thing was i didnt have to...
