La Cucina Trattoria — Restaurant in Munich

I wouldn't say horrible, but yesterday, I had the worst experience of dining at this high-class Italian restaurant. The restaurant looks clean, beautiful, and filled with nicely dressed people. First, we got the table for 2 without reservation, so it was nice. After taking a seat, we ordered drinks, Schwepes, and a beer (let me tell you schwepes was only tonic water). They didn't ask what flavour of Schwepes I wanted. The waiter didn't bring the complimentary bread to our table (a normal etiquette at an italian restaurant), which he served at every other table around us. Then we ordered a salad and a pizza, and the waiter was not very happy that we wanted to share food with each other. Then I ordered another pizza (Primavera) without meat, and they brought me the pizza with meat, saying that I ordered wrong. Then they corrected the order but brought the same pizza back after removing the chicken. Then they asked me again if I wanted Rucola on it, and I said, of course. So they brought a cold pizza which tasted awful with taste of meat and rucola without parmesan (which I wanted). In the end, the whole meal was 59 euros + 6 euros in tip (which I didn't want to pay, but being a good customer is also needed). Chef - You do a nice job. Wait Staff - you should all be fired.

The food taste, and quality is good, so the chef has it right. the wait staff is really bad. As soon as they found out we were American, it was down hill from there. Even German guests at the table next to us noticed the difference in service, which by the way were nice people, and we laughed how bad the wait staff was to anyone English speaking. Example; everyone received a bread basket, but only if you were special did you receive a plate to put olive oil on it.

If you are American, stay clear of this place. Munich has too many other restaurants that don't look down...
