Definitely an excellent culinary experience. The mediterranean wine list, and the tapas assortment is the best I have seen in Munich. Contrary to their local competitors, the Tapas come fresh from the kitchen, no pre cooked and frozen stuff. The Tapas portions are generous, the taste unique. We asked the waiter for is recommendation, he pointed two tapas: the entrecot medallions, and fried calamari. The lates was a welcone surprise, the calamary were tender and tasty, not the chewy stuff I have experienced in other Mediterranean restaurants in Munich, which name I dont want ever to remember. The waiter recommended us to begin with two Tapas and order more later if we still were hungry. BINGO! He was absolutely right. The two Tapas would have been enough, but we helped ourselves further to the rolled aubergines with mozarella, chicken skewers (delicious), bacon roles filled w goat cheese, among others. Each plate was superlative! The service, although very busy, was friendly; we coukd look into the kitchen from our table, the team was working non stop delivering all sorts of tapas, it was a feast to the eyes. We ended with a Crema Catalana, uuhhhj, it was the kind of stuff only a grandmother can prepare, not the frozen stuff I have tasted locallly. At the risk of one day having to fight with you for a table, I would recommend La Tasca Werkviertel to anybody. BTW, the beer, La Estrella de Galicia, was great too. Fot two hours we had the feeling to be in Spain in a Michellin tapas restaurant. We will return for more, ...and to take pictures. We were enjoying the food so much that we forgot to...
Read moreAppalling service and awful experience. My wife and I went to this establishment near the hotel on checking out for a drink and bite before heading to the airport. At first we gravitated to a table on the outside of the garden area which had a “reserved” sign on it, and the waitress explained that this table was reserved for 6; this would have given us 45-50 minutes to eat and drink and we did not feel like rushing, so we switched to a table near the wall which was not reserved and had piles of used dishes and glasses everywhere. After some food and drink we were quite surprised- and put out- to be told that the table we were on had a reservation for 6. The facts were at the time there was no reservation sign on the table and we were not warned either - unlike the other table- that this table would be taken at 6. It seemed the waiter had either switched reservation tables or simply made it up (perhaps to hurry us off, as we had finished). Terrible awful service- to usher people off as soon as they have finished eating under the guise of ‘reservation’ when clearly it was already established that the table was not reserved and hence why we switched to it in the first place. Is it worth arguing over and making a scene? Unfortunately this treatment ruined the experience, we would not have eaten there had we known, in fact we switched tables bc of it. Really bad practice. Awful experience. Do yourself a favour and Avoid. Munich is full of wonderful and delightful places to eat and drink. This is not...
Read moreLa Tasca is a fantastic tapas bar that left a lasting impression on me. The food was delightful, and the service was incredibly friendly. I had the pleasure of trying their shrimp with garlic and fried calamari, which were both exceptional.
The shrimp with garlic was cooked to perfection. The flavors were well-balanced, and the garlic added a delightful aromatic touch. The shrimp were succulent and paired wonderfully with the garlic-infused sauce. It was a dish I couldn't get enough of!
The fried calamari at La Tasca was another highlight. The calamari had a crispy exterior that gave way to tender, flavorful bites. It was evident that the calamari was fresh, and the batter was light and not overpowering. Served with a tangy dipping sauce, it was a true delight.
What made my experience even more enjoyable was the outstanding service. The staff at La Tasca were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. They provided excellent recommendations and made sure that all our needs were met. The friendly and accommodating atmosphere truly enhanced our visit.
Overall, La Tasca is a gem of a tapas bar. With delicious food and exceptional service, it's a place that I highly recommend. Whether you're a fan of seafood or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, La Tasca is a fantastic choice. I can't wait to visit again and explore more of their...
