May Restaurant — Restaurant in Munich

To be honest, I was sitting outside, the food is nice, unfortunately not great, for the price you're paying. The services was great too, except for the fact, when I wanted to pay. They guy came told me how much, I payed with tip. Th3y I thought that is mega expensive. Looked for the check, recipe, gone. Asked the guy, started from then. He hasn't got it. He will have to check. Then after 15 minutes, he gave it me. He charged me seriously double. I asked to speak with som1, and UNBELEAVABLE, other than waiting nearly half an hour. Been here now an hour after finishing. I was treated like I was the idiot. The bill had disappeared, obviously the guy had thrown it. I had to tell them what I order. Then he lied and said sorry he gave you bill from the next table. I saw the bill, seen what they had eaten..OK I got my money back. And as a sorry, I got a schnapps.. plus I was followed into the toilet, whilst washing my hands the guy stood there watching my. Dining at May Restaurant in Munich was an absolute delight from start to finish. The food was simply outstanding – every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the quality of the ingredients, and it’s clear that everything is prepared with care and attention to detail.

The staff was very unfriendly. They didn’t speak German nor English very well, so we didn’t really understand them, and they didn’t really understand our orders - they brought out the wrong food twice and even talked about us (like how dare these ppl order something veggie only and laughed) because we ordered a veggie starter plate. We ordered it for 3 people but had to pay for 4. it was 65€, for a small veggie starter plate. That’s insane and brings me to the prices and food quality. In my opinion it was nothing special, tasted like every other restaurant that is 1/3 of the price. 26€ for a veggie Wok, wtf?! 100% not worth the price. For prices like this I expect way better service. I am not coming again, that’s for sure. One last thing: be careful with reservations for a group of people. It’s 35€ per person that’s not coming.
