It is a total rip off.
We checked into a hotel opposite this place and it was getting late. So we decided to just popped in. They mainly have pizza and pasta on the menu ranging from Eur 9 to 12. Boss was friendly and came over to say they have very nice fish. We agreed to order one. From what we saw on the menu and also the fact that the place was not really a restaurant but at most a bistro, we did not ask for the price. Turned out the boss charged us Eur $25.9 for the fish and Eur $4.9 for vegetables under the fish which he just put in there without asking us if we want any sides. The fish was actually not very fresh and taste just mediocre. We have eaten in very nice restaurants in Munich. Fish dishes should be around Eur 18 to 22 including sides. One restaurant near Marien platz, which is very touristy offers aged steak for only EUR 25 (without sides). EUR31 for A simple fish dish in a bistro in the middle of nowhere is a real rip off.
May be the boss thought we were tourists and we won't go back again. So ok to rip off. I hope he now know this may not be the case as tourists can pass words around in the internet. I hope he would be more honest from now on.
P.s.: the boss asked if we want two dishes of fish for two persons, we said no, only one. Then we also ordered a pizza (EUR 9.9, where the price was reasonable). We got a normal one person fish dish with two pieces of filet. So it is dishonest again replying it's Eur 25.9 for two person. It's EUR31 for one person with roasted vegetables, no salad! I wish i could post the photo of the dish and the receipt if I figured out how to do so here.
