Absolutely love this hidden gem in Munich! This small but sweet Japanese restaurant offers Donburi dishes that are not only delicious but also incredibly affordable — real comfort food that warms the soul. The chef is kind and welcoming, and every visit reminds me of my time in Japan.

It’s rare to find such authentic Japanese flavors here, and what makes it even better is that they renew their menu weekly, so there’s always something new to try. If it weren’t for the distance, I’d honestly come every day.

Great food, fairly priced, and amazingly kind service, the staff was very welcoming and helpful when we asked about the menu in English. Food was simple and with good ingredients, and the side salad really tasty for "just" fresh vegetables with a soy/vinegar-ish dressing. Interior was a bit bland but nothing that took away from the overall experience. They only take cash, so I had to go to an ATM nearby but they were understanding and patient. The Gyu-don stewed beef bowl cooked by the friendly chef Takeshi-san is fantastic and can beat well-known japanese eateries in Japan and Singapore for its taste, authenticity and portion-size. The all-japanese staff are very friendly and can speak fluent German, and of course Japanese. On one of the occasions I was there, I left behind my handphone by accident, and the female staff came out of the shop and ran after me to hand it to me. This is true service and hospitality.
