I had visited Yak & Yeti for a team dinner event and it was a beautiful experience. The first thing one might probably notice as soon as they step into the restaurant is the mesmerising ambience inside the restaurant. The walls were decked with many beautiful pieces of art representing the Himalayan culture. In my opinion, a great way to start one's authentic Himalayan experience would be by ordering a cup of warm butter tea. Also traditionally known as po cha or gur gur cha, this very unique drink comes from the Himalayas and it has the power to soothe your body and your soul - a great choice.. particularly on cold, winter days! Although they have a very extensive menu that could possible make some people like me a little overwhelmed at the start, I think they have done an exceptional job in terms of the dish selection on their menu: the dishes are very diverse and represent the Himalayan cuisine accurately. The food is made fresh to order and the portion sizes are generous. They also have a nice selection of desserts to round off your Himalayan feast. It was a beautiful experience and I would love to go back there with some friends and spend many more evenings.. enjoying the cozy ambience, the fresh Himalayan food and chatting our way...
Read moreOne word would be enough here: awesome! But to be a little bit preciser: To eat classical Nepalese food is nothing you will find everywhere, so it is some kind of special. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The decoration is nice and fits perfect in the ambient. I really liked the traditional uniforms of the staff, which looks funny by the way. The price is under the averrage for munich and the amount is quit reasonable. Now the food. You can choose between different influenced meal, depending of the area in Nepal. I tried only tradional meals and they were just delicious but spicy even if it was not mentioned especially in the menu. You should reservate a table at the weekends, later than 8 pm the restaurant...
Read moreOnly thing to be considered good over there was the Ambiance. Food was terrible, the only thing they were supposed to serve at it’s best. The mo:mo’s were partially cooked with the filling not so uniformly mixed with absolute zero aroma and no proper taste. Butter chicken’s curry tasked like a past of boiled pumpkin cooked in little to no butter. Most important, when we asked for Limonade, we were served probably the one that we can buy in Kaufland or some other EinkaufsMarkt. C’mon man at least serve something better on a freaking hot day. Lassi was like more water and less Joghurt with little sugar. What the mock was that ?? Would never visit again !! Would not recommend, better go for asian noodles , gut...
