Mountain Hub Gourmet — Restaurant in Oberding (VGem)

I had a frustrating experience here. I asked the waitress, “What’s your best salad?” and she pointed at a dish in the menu. I assumed it was a salad — since I clearly asked for one — and ordered it without double-checking. When it arrived, it wasn’t a salad at all. I told her politely that I had asked for a salad, and she said, “You saw it on the menu — it’s not a salad.” I was surprised and reminded her that I asked specifically for a salad, not just any dish. She then said she would bring me the actual best salad, but insisted I still had to pay for the first dish — which I didn’t even eat. I asked to speak to someone else, and when another staff member came, I explained what happened and said, “Please cancel the first dish and remove it from the bill.” Thankfully, he was understanding and agreed to remove it, which I appreciated. It isn't every day you find a Michelin-starred restaurant in an airport hotel.

Tucked away, in the back of the hotel's main restaurant, is where you are taken upon checking in. From there, you are greeted by the Mountain Hub Gourmet(MHG) team for your evening's dining experience.

In our reservation, we mentioned that one of us did not eat red meat and would prefer fish/vegetables for those courses. MHG was quite accommodating with these dietary needs. Also, get the wine pairing; it enhanced the experience.

Service was relatively quick. Very detailed. Our server clearly explained wine pairing and dishes; you can enjoy them at your leisure.

Each dish was enticing and delicious. The service was terrific. Friendly, not stuffy.

Wir hatten einen phantastischen Abend im Mountain Hub Gourmet!

Absolute Empfehlung!

Vom freundlich, herzlich offenem Empfang über den weitergehenden, überaus aufmerksamen Service durch den Abend, dem phantastischem Essen und dem behaglichen Ambiente.

Wir haben uns für das 6-Gang Menü mit einer Weinbegleitung und einer flexiblen Getränkebegleitung (nur jeder 2. Gang alkoholisch und anti- alkoholischen Alternativen) entschieden.

Angefangen von den "Grüßen aus der Küche" hinweg durch jeden einzelnen Gang waren die Teller ästhetisch angerichtet. Das Menü war herrlich leicht, genau das Richtige für einen heißen Sommerabend. Die Aromen ausgewogen und das Spiel mit den verschiedenen Konsistenzen ein Genuß. Die kleinen süßen Überraschungen zum Schluss - ein gelungener Abschluss.

Der Service war professionell und dabei frisch, herzlich und überaus aufmerksam! Vielen Dank an dieser Stelle!

Uns hat es zu keiner Zeit an etwas gefehlt und die Tatsache, dass sofort nach dem ersten Gang die Anordnung des Besteck und der Gläser für meinen Mann angepasst wurde, weil er Linkshänder ist, haben wir tatsächlich das erste Mal so erlebt.

Auf Unverträglichkeiten wurde problemlos eingegangen.

Die Tatsache, dass man ganz entspannt im Parkhaus parken kann und das Parkticket vom Restaurant entwertet wird ( wenn man im angegeben Parkhaus parkt) ist auch nicht zu verachten.

Auch wenn das Restaurant im Flughafen ist, spürt man dies zu keiner Zeit und man hat eine feine Auszeit vom Alltag.

Für uns gibt's hier von Herzen den zweiten ⭐ dazu 😉
