Steakhouse La Pampa — Restaurant in Paderborn

About that place I heard many good things from my friends. Because of that I wanted to try it out. In Paderborn there are two places well known of Argentinian beef - Gaucho and La Pampa. I chose the second one for the dinner.

Restaurant located in nearby of the Dome and the main competitor - Gaucho. Inside you can feel that this place is not new but one the other hand you can feel like in Argentinian rancho. I came there with my friends in the middle of the week but something around 19 - there was no problem to find a table because the place is big enough.

Now about the food. First you need to pick the type of meat and weight. Then you need to add a sauce and side dish. If you order only meat - you will get just meat. There are many types of meat to choose but all of them comes from Argentinian beef. About the size you can pick 150g or even 350g. I ordered 350g of Rib-Eye Steak and it was so delicious! La Pampa really knows the difference between rare, medium and well done steaks. Watch out for the sauces. There are multiple of them and all of them are delicious especially Bearnaise and Creamed Pepper Sauce. Why watch out? Because there are so big. If you are coming to this place in bigger group, consider to share the sauce and not pick individually. As a desserts we picked Tiramisu and Apfel Strudels. Again - so good! There is also a salad bar but we didn't checked it out.

To sum up, this place is worth each spent Euro. They know how to prepare food and how to make the customer happy. If you are in Paderborn or nearby, this place is a must !

This place is a gem. It is located in the heart of Paderborn and parking is nearby - it is a 10 minute walk from the main town car park and is located near Paderborn Town Hall. The staff are friendly and can speak a plethora of languages so upon entry you get a warm welcome. The restaurant is a combination of old English public house and tutonic architecture with wooden panelling and it feels "warm and friendly". No music is played so you can talk and other than the nosie from the kitchen it is an ideal venue for a romantic meal for two or a family meal - this venue is geared towards both. The menu presentated was in English and shows a diverse range of local food. As it is a steak bar then the majority of the main meals were a wide variety of steaks. However, that said, the variety of other food available would, I suspect, meet most palets. The 350g rib eye steak that I ordered was "well done" and was cooked to perfection. I can honestly say that it was the best steal I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. The meat was full of flavour and tasted absolutely amazing. Park up the street in the city lot (free on Sundays, pay the other six days). The walk is four minutes into the town. Excellent menu. Prices are normal. Steak was cooked perfect. Fine atmosphere.
