When I recently found myself at the restaurant on the banks of the Danube in Passau, it was an experience that was far removed from all of my professional thinking. I arrived at 8 PM, still hopeful for a tasty dinner. However, what transpired had little to do with a restaurant.
To my amazement, they informed me that the kitchen closes at 9 PM but refused to prepare a meal for me. I felt like I had stepped into a surreal dream where logic had no place. When I attempted to pay with a credit card, I was once again disappointed because the restaurant didn't accept cards. It was literally a battle with technology.
But that wasn't all. When paying in cash, I noticed I was shortchanged. I was left with no explanations and a feeling that I had just paid for the worst project in the history of the restaurant industry.
As if that weren't enough, at the restaurant on the Danube's shore, I became the target of mosquitoes. Yes, mosquitoes were the only patrons who seemed content with this experience.
Overall, this restaurant was like a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone expecting even a basic level of service and professionalism. I'd rather spend the evening debugging code and tackling technical issues than return here.
And to top it off, the staff was constantly running around in confusion, adding another layer of chaos to the experience. It was as if they were participants in a digital labyrinth.
In conclusion, this restaurant on the banks of the Danube in Passau is a place best avoided by anyone seeking a pleasant...
Read moreDuring my stay in Passau, my friends and I chose this place for our last dinner in town. I am used to high standards of service and expected this restaurant to offer the expected standard. We were wrong.
The wait staff clearly had coordination problems, so we waited a really long time for our order. When we finally got a chance to order, we were informed that there was a very limited 3 course menu at 8pm, which was especially surprising when I noticed that other guests were still eating. Interesting fact: we couldn't even get a pancake.
When paying, I discovered that the place does not accept credit cards. In today's digital age, this is an essential service that every business should offer. I had to look for an ATM, which was annoying.
The second star is for the courteous service and good wine. Otherwise, the visit was a disappointment. Passau is a town with a lot of potential and I hope this establishment realizes its weaknesses and takes steps to...
Read moreWe decided to have a dinner at UNTERHAUS, inspired by many positive reviews. Unfortunately, our experience did not match expectations. 😔
Upon arrival, we noticed that the service was quite slow, which was especially frustrating after a long day. 🐢 When we finally settled down, we were told that they couldn't cook food at eight in the evening, which was particularly surprising as we saw other tables still dining. 🤨
When we decided to pay and leave, we found out that the establishment does not accept credit cards. We were told that the nearest ATM is about 300 meters away. I imagined how inconvenient it would be if I were there with my family, especially with small children. 🚶💨
Overall, I was disappointed as I expected so much more based on other reviews. I hope my experience was an exception and not...
