Another wonderful treat in Potsdam with a fantastic variety of beers to explore! Maisel was a standout - incredibly refreshing with the fine aroma of yeast, hints of malt, fruit, clove, and just a touch of nutmeg for that perfect spicy note. The Bayreuther Brauhaus offered a more floral and spicy character, beautifully balanced between malt and hop profiles. Truly a treat for beer lovers!

What’s fun is that it’s BYOF - Bring Your Own Food (not BYOB like Gurgaon). We grab our food from the next door, Tyrus - and it does not disappoint! We had the Döner platter packed with rice, fries, shawarma, fresh veggies, crispy falafel, and soft bread. Flavorful, filling, and a perfect match for the beer.

Wir waren letzte Woche in der oberen Etage ein paar Cocktails schlürfen. Nach der Bestellung verging mindestens eine halbe Stunde eh die Getränke endlich kamen. Da war uns eigentlich schon die Lust vergangen.

Einer der Cocktails war jedoch ein Totalreinfall und hat überhaupt nicht dem Original entsprochen. Es hat einfach mal nach nichts geschmeckt. Nachdem dann nach weiteren 20 Minuten unsere Bedienung mal wieder vorbei kam wollten wir die Rechnung. Diese lies dann aber nochmal weitere 20 Minuten auf sich warten.

Also ich habe echt noch nie so lange auf ein Getränk und die Rechnung gewartet. Das war für mich schon eine Frechheit.

Auch der allgemeine Zustand der oberen Etage ist eher als rustikal zu bezeichnen. Gut die Hälfte alle Glühbirnen waren defekt und diese komplett dunkle Raum nebenan, in welchem nur ein Kronleuchter und ein langer Tisch stehen hat sich uns auch nicht erschlossen. Von den Toiletten waren die beiden Damen mit denen ich unterwegs war auch nicht angetan...

Mein Fazit der Bargelb: einmal und nie wieder! Das Ambiente hat mir überhaupt nicht zugesagt bzw es war kein durchgängiger Stil oder so etwas zu erkennen. Es gibt definitiv bessere...

Bar Gelb is a great place with delicious beers and simple snacks. My friends and I have come here often! Twice a month they also have game nights, partnered with the board game shop galadriel.
