Et cetera — Restaurant in Potsdam

When was the last time you had a good experience at a "cash only" place? Yep, for me they're a consistent sign of the "its not about you, it's about me" school of entrepreneurship. Sadly, one more example. The pretty room leads me to think I'm going to have an experience as homey as a new England b&b hostess. Mistaken. After ordering, I'm told that (despite an empty cafe) I'd be required to come to the counter and fetch my own meal...having done so, I was as shocked as that bloke in "The crying game" (oh, spoiler alert). The microwaved quiche had a flavour and odour of the wrong version of egg. The arugula was good, and the sour cream as bland as it was excessive. The iced chocolate was the worst I've ever had or seen...yes, even worse that the one mum used to pass off by mixing some random not-chocolate powder into decent milk and adding enough ice cubes. It wasn't good, but it was cold and milky. This was neither, and the chocolate was an influence rather than a dominant flavour. Sad really, it...

dreadful cafe, coffee overpriced and in return what awaits you is dull atmosphere, no music, silent like in a graveyard; i was there a few times as i had to wait for a friend who was using the library. when sitting there an older lady told me off as i was talking on the phone !!!!my suggestion the owner puts up a banner in front of the cafe such as ´please be silent´. such a disgrace....why should a person want to pay far too much money for a coffee and then be siting in a graveyard atmosphere..... most of the cafes here in Potsdam are a real disaster compared to he cafe culture where i come from......we love it lively, funny, communicative and just...

Adorable cafe with good coffee. You must be a member of the library to have WiFi access, otherwise this isn’t a work-friendly location.
