Kichi - Sushi Bar and More — Restaurant in Potsdam

We had asked for a table beforehand, but when arriving they had barely the space to accommodate us.

The overall experience was pretty disappointing: dirty tables & cutlery with old food stuck on it mixed up/forgotten orders unripe avocado & overcooked edamame fridge-cold tuna used in the sushi overpriced portions the matcha ice cream had lots of crystals in it from having been thawed and re-frozen

While there, we could hear other tables dealing with similar issues, so it's unfortunately not a singular instance of this happening.

We visited this place following the trip advisor's recommendations. However, we were left overly disappointed by the taste/quality of food as well as the service. Among others, we ordered Udon soup, a variety of sushi and a rice bowl. Makis were all open, the taste of all the food we ordered could be named as "tasteless". The order arrived very quickly (with about 5 minutes intervals) that left us wondering that food was pre-prepared. Kichi is a must when visiting Potsdam. The restaurant is small and unassuming with a smaller menu, but great quality fish, reasonable prices, and friendly customer service. I was visiting for a short weekend and originally went to Chi Keng, but left after being seated and no one came to ask us if we wanted to order or even have drinks. Also Chi Keng is WAY overpriced.

Kichi is the place to go! But just a small note: ventilation in the restaurant is not the best so you will leave with the smell of food in your clothes and hair, which is why I deducted one star. Otherwise, I will definitely go back...
