Bäckerei-Café Dreißig Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg — Restaurant in Schönefeld

Located in Terminal 2, right at the entrance before the security checks (or right after passing those if you’ve just landed), I’d say this is a pretty good spot for an airport café!

I decided to grab something quick to eat at this café because it seemed as if the prices were a little bit lower compared to the ones I had passed through after landing, and I think I made a decent choice.

I ordered a crispy chicken burger and a glazed donut, and the lady at the counter was nice enough to tell me that the donut had plum filling inside! The two cost me €9,60 and they were both really good: the burger had really good toppings and sauces, and they did not skimp on them. The taste was distinctively German, which was nice as my first meal in the country, but I could not identify why specifically. The only thing that I wish would have been done is having the burger warmed up, as it really was quite cold and a bit hard.

I waited to have the glazed plum-filled donut until the next morning and it was still really fresh, the plum filling was really good and again, you could tell they did not skimp on it. It was also an extremely light donut, it was fried really well and the batter was just right.

Wanted to grab coffee before security so my wife chose this place. I ordered a flat white and the guy serving laughed at me very clearly and then made some comments and laughed some more to somebody out of sight in the back in German language while he proceeded to grab the largest cup and then say ‘flat white / cafe au lait, are all the same’.

Needless to say I got a giant cup of semi warm milk with a taste of coffee. Not a flat white at all. For about 5 euro.

99% of me wanted to give it back etc etc but I just got on with my day seems at it was 5am! Just bad service, coupled with no knowledge.

Avoid and wait for departures where bean to cup coffee, not prepped by a robot, is available. Served somebody that likes their job a bit....

6,50 for a mediocre cappuccino,they only had 1 type of croissant at 10.00 in the morning, horrible table service, the lady was super rude to us.

Horrible to not have another option in this terminal, I would avoid this place...
