Ha Long — Restaurant in Stuttgart

I went here about 5 years ago with some friends and the service was horrible. Another friend suggested going here the other night for dinner. I said ok, thinking service has changed. Nope. I was wrong. I even set a timer on my phone just to see how long it would take for everything. So after about 20 minutes, the only waiter took our drink orders. After we were finally served, he took out food orders. Only after 45 minutes, did our appetizers arrive. It was already past 9:45 pm then. Our reservation was for 8pm.... After an hour of the waiter taking out orders, we got our main dish. We realized we had to receive our food at 10 because that is the time the kitchen closes. I suggest if you really want to eat here, order on Foodora and tell them to bring it to your table. You will be served faster as Foodora delivers within 45 minutes. This restaurant focuses more on Foodora delivery than it's in house customers. I do not suggest coming here, ever. Plus, the beer from Tap was old as you could see residue in the glass. Fantastically sublime flavors and friendly ambience. Service was great and restaurant is comfortable with an old world feel. I just returned from Hanoi and was keen to eat more Vietnamese food. I was very pleased with the menu and authentic flavors offered here. I had the Phở Xào Hải Sản (Fried Rice Noodles With Prawns). This was listed in the menu as spicy. Indeed it was, but it was beautifully balanced with fish sauce and herbs to give the sweet, salt, spice, sour, and lots of umami. Delicious! Insgesamt war der Besuch mehr als enttäuschend. Auf der Karte steht, dass man alle Gerichte auch ohne Fleisch bestellen kann. Ich habe also ohne Fleisch bestellt. Gekommen war mit Fleisch. Nachdem ich das Essen reklamiert hatte mit den ausdrücklichen Worten, dass ich kein Fleisch esse, kam der Teller eine Minute später zurück. Die fleischstücke wurden einfach rausgepickt.

Unabhängig davon, dass es für einen Vegetarier eigentlich nicht zumutbar ist, ein Essen zu essen, das zusammen mit Fleisch in der Pfanne geschwenkt wurde (Ich bin zwar kein militanter Vegetarier aber so viel Verständnis kann man 2020 schon erwarten). Es wurden nicht einmal alle fleischstücke entfernt. Plus. Es wurde auch kein Gemüse oder so stattdessen gereicht. Die Portion war einfach nur kleiner. Klar kam weder eine erst gemeinte Entschuldigung, noch wurde der Preis gemindert. Ich hätte fast 14 Euro für die 3 minigarnelen 3 Stücke Möhre und ein Haufen quasikäsespätzle auch so schon teuer gefunden. Aber so war der Preis einfach Verarsche.

Darüber hinaus würde ich aber auch unabhängig von dem Vorfall nicht mehr da hin gehen. Gibt in Stuttgart definitiv bessere. Beim Vietnamesen erwartet man ja eigentlich viel frisches Gemüse. Das gibt es hier nur ganz sparsam.
