One of the best All You Can Eat restaurant I’ve eaten in - so worth my money! We came in for lunch (17.90€ per person without drinks) with my friend who is a frequent customer there (it’s my first time eating here since I recently moved to Stuttgart). The restaurant is huge and clean, with nice relaxing ambience. Service is top notch and very kid-friendly, which could be a plus point for some.
Now for the food: So unlike other AYCE restaurant that is like running sushi, this one you can order via tablet. A nice touch! I recommend going out with friends so you can try many of their varieties and enjoy time together.
They serve salad, appetizers, rolled sushi, maki, nigiri, grilled (like yakitori), fried stuff. The sushi is not that special, but surprisingly I like the grilled and fried items (recommend the tempura, yakitori, and cheese stick). Each menu has a descrption in German and English, so you can choose based on dietary restrictions.
You may say there are lots better sushi or grill places (of course they are!) - but remember this is all you can eat so I compare it with similar restaurants that also offer the same systems. Unlike the usual greasy fried stuff served at other places, it was none like that. The salmon and other fish were also quite fresh, and that is important for a sushi place.
Lastly, there is also desert (you have to take on your own). There are cakes, donuts, melon, watermelon, and huge selection of ice cream - I was quite surprised (cos usually in AYCE there are only 3-4 flavors)! Tried 3 scoops (I’m a huge fan of ice cream 🍦): black bean, green tea, and another pink colored. They were all nice, not like the cheap ones (you can really taste the difference).
So all in all, my experience is really worth the money I spent here (note: we went on Wednesday afternoon, so the restaurant is not that busy). I would actually bring my friends if they’re visiting Stuttgart one day, and so should you! 👍🏻
😅 sorry didn’t take lots of pics only the first round, and then I forgot cos...
Read moreFirst, it's important to share that Sashimi and Special Rolls are excluded from the All you can eat menu and cost extra. If you're looking to mainly eat sushi, I wouldn't recommend this place. We found the taste of the rolls to actually taste worse than what you'd expect from supermarket sushi. Mikomi is also the first sushi restaurant out of the 30+ we've been to in our lives that put canned tuna into spicy tuna rolls - a sad surprise.
All the grilled side dishes tasted great and were really fun to try. We also liked the fried dishes, they were crispy and hot and nicely seasoned. the fried potato and cheese sticks are a must-try.
we liked our drinks which were reasonably priced.
I'd recommend this place for a fun social gathering spot to try asian fusion style dishes with nice drinks. we enjoyed our time trying things and having been there at 8pm onwards on a rather hot day, it was really nice to sit outside. no proper AC inside, it felt rather warm in there. If you're looking to indulgent in good quality sushi, probably look...
Read moreThis place deserves 4.5 stars for the value. When the waiter came he explained that they had an all you can eat menu for lunch. Back in the United States I usually don't do all you can eat because they slow-roll bringing out the plates but here they did not do that. You order from a tablet and they bring what you order out fairly quickly although there are some time limits and constraints. You can only order 8 items per person at a time and then have to wait another 8 minutes before ordering again. I didn't find this limiting at all. My wife and I did two rounds and it was more than enough, probably too much. Everything was very good quality. The fish seemed very fresh. Overall for 13 Euro it was an excellent value. Wait staff was very attentive and kind. I will try a few more sushi places in Stuttgart but may bump this place...
