Edit: First time I ate here: Ordered a Pizza WITHOUT cheese, got a pizza with cheese and the waiter knew it as well (he pointed that out when I was paying) -- still ate it, not gonna throw food away.
Second time: I was yelled at for sitting at a table (that wasn't marked reserved) instead of being politely asked to move to a different one -- like any other guest would.
Third time: Picked up food, asked to pay with card, wanted to include tip, the waiter declined and said it wasn't possible.
Fourth time: Asked to pay with card again, but the waiter said that normally payments with card are only possible starting from €20, so I asked him to bill me the €20 anyways, and the rest is his tip.. he declined.
Fifth time: Carried cash with, the waiter would not accept any tip still.
And so and so, the service never accepting any tip, doing the bare minimum with a hint of snobbishness and disregard to any of my requests.
@the owner: If you'd rather ignore the signs and just say a prayer instead, then be my guest, but my review will be 1 star for failure to deal with racism within your staff.
@the waiter: You've won, I'm not eating here anymore 👍
@the reader: Take everything with a grain of salt, but if you're a person of colour, you might be greeted with a bit of snobbishness and a sprinkle of rudeness, however, you won't have to pay any tip and the...
Read moreI am from the US and was visiting some friends in Stuttgart and we had a dinner at Goldoni that was absolutely fantastic, amazing food and really friendly staff. I had the lammkoteletts, which were simply delicious and perfectly cooked, tender and juicy. I had the dark chocolate truffel eis for dessert, which was otherworldly, and split it with my friend who had the white chocolate version which was also very tasty but not as awe-inducing as the dark one.
The staff was very accommodating and seated us even though we showed up when they were just setting up for the evening, before the official opening time. I only know a few words of German and they were very friendly, joking and playful as I tried to use English or accidentally responded in French (due to French music being played) rather than letting my friends translate my enjoyment of the meal for me. I also enjoyed the music and the staff responded to an e-mail 2 weeks later with my request for information about the songs played,...
