Tay Ho — Restaurant in Stuttgart

Landed in Stuttgart after some crazy weather, we were craving something soupy and comforting. We came across this little joint, which we didn’t know was a 2 story place. It looks more decorative and cozy upstairs with a cute bartender working upstairs. I had Bun Bo Hue, cafe sua da ( Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk -iced) and Bò sốt vang ( I had no idea what it was until it came out, it was Bò kho ( which is beef stew is what Im known it for )the meat was a little tough and hard to chew. Bun bo Hue was good, missing a few ingredients here and there but it’s doable if you want a hot spicy soupy beef dish- worth the try. I also had cafe sua da and it was only ok to me. It might’ve tasted a bit different for me as far as the coffee , a bit powdery for my after taste. Overall nice experience. We’ll definitely come back to try the rest...

Food is alright - nothing too fancy but also not bad at all

A bit too many dishes on the menu of which some tastes very similar. Would definitely shorten the menu to get a more clear overview.

Some dishes also had some strange flavor combination like mixing curry sauce with fish sauce dip and peanuts with an minty aftertaste. Also some ingredients/vegetables tastes a bit old and not super fresh.

Haven’t tried the Pho‘s but they definitely looks to be the highlights there.

Place is pretty small and the ambience is more like a „Imbissbude“ instead of an restaurant.

Staff is very friendly and prices are also alright.

Worth a try but there are definitely better places...

I never understand how I just find this gem now! It looked like a regular imbiss downstairs, but when you go upstairs, it’s a nicely decorated restaurant. When I read through the menu, I can see they serve authentic Vietnamese dishes that are usually not available everywhere else. I ordered one of my Vietnamese dishes: bun nem. I’m not a Vietnamese, but to my taste it is really good! (next time I will try the pho and other dishes!) A lot vegetarian options as well.

For drinks I had the fresh lime juice and it it very refreshing! The prices for me are not so expensive, so it is worth it for me!

Service is friendly, payment only by cash after you are done eating. Will come...
