Samoa Restaurant Timmendorf — Restaurant in Timmendorfer Strand

Restaurant Samoa is still quite new, and something else from all the usual Timmendorfer Strand restaurants was desperately needed. The interior design is modern, stylish and quite luxurious. It's clear there is a lot of effort and money put in. We had dinner at the end of a busy warm Saturday. We made reservations through the internet, but unfortunately our wishes for a table in the shade were not completely respected. Service however was fast and friendly (although a cheap body warmer at 31 Celcius! and worn-off sneakers for one member were really a no-go). Starters (tempura shrimp and shrimps in a garlic sauce) were good, but not excellent. The bread was missing some crunchyness and the mayonnaise could have been the typical Japanese mayo. The main dish was baked plaice fisch and bouillabaisse. The portion sizes were good, but the taste was a bit flat. Although highly recommended, the bouillabaisse was a long way from the classical French speciality. The accompanying bread should have been toast, Parmesan cheese was missing, and the soup was mainly consisting of chopped vegetables, not at all like the thick bound soup we know from the French cuisine. Dessert was the best part: chocolate cake with a nice soft filling, ice and berries. With some glasses of wine and two espressos we landed a bill just under €200, which is clearly too expensive for the value offered. Five stars hundred percent! I ended there the first time just by chance, attracted by sushi, ever since it has become my favourite place to have dinner. The atmosphere is great, just ideal to relax after a hard day at work. Fantastic just to have a drink in the cozy corner of the bar or go for an amazing dinner. My fav, the sushi sashimi plate, it is just delicious. All staff is very professional and give a good service, but Derya is the greatest for me. ⭐️ Das Samoa bereichert die Timmendorfer Innenstadt mit einer ausgewählte Küche, mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Fischgerichten, einem modernen Design und freundlichem nordischen Personal ⭐️

Heute Abend [15.12.2023] stolperten wir eher zufällig in die Neueröffnung des Samoa Restaurants direkt im Herzen von Timmendorf. Uns begrüßte direkt das freundliche Personal, welches uns den ganzen Besuch über hervorragende bewirtschaftete. Wir waren leider bereits davor etwas Essen, somit gab es heute nur ein Getränke - weswegen eine Bewertung des Essen nach einem zweiten Besuch folgen wird. Das was wir auf den Tellern der anderen Gästen sehen konnten, sah aber schon sehr vielversprechend aus. 5 Sterne gibts es aber jetzt schon mal, für die zentrale Lage, das freundliche Personal, die geniale Inneneinrichtung und dem tollen Charme der dem teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommenem Timmendorf sehr gut tut.

[Update 17.12.2023] Wir kamen nochmal auf ein weiteres Bier und ein paar Snacks nach dem Eishockey in Timmendorf vorbei, auch diesmal waren wir wieder total überzeugt von dem Ambiente und dem Service. Diesmal können wir auch ein erstes Feedback zum Essen geben. Die Vorspeisen die wir probiert haben waren grandios.
