Erstes Ulmer Pfannkuchenhaus - Allgäuer Hof — Restaurant in Ulm

We went in asking if dogs were allowed, they said yes and we chose the bar for a beer. After some time we decided to eat as well, as the place looked lovely. We asked if a table was free and a waiter said yes but they had to clean it, then the head waitress arrived yelling NO (maybe for the dog?) speaking in german and giving no explanation whatsoever. We finished our beer at the bar while the head waitress kept being very rude and not even saying sorry when she bumped into me while passing by. Finally, I went to pay the beers with the card and she said "only cash", while the POS terminal was right behind her, I asked why but no explanation. It would have been nice if someone had explained what the problem was or why they were being so rude to us. Sadly, awful experience, I would have liked to...

My family loves this place. Giant pancakes, sweet or savory. Both are delicious. My eldest son made me promised to bring him back as soon as I can.

Food menu is extremely family friendly.

I ordered the giant meat everything pancake (see the incredible picture of you don't believe it). It was so amazing, though I don't think my heart could take that more than on a special occasion.

They did have an English menu, but ordering using Google Translate wasn't hard either.

It gets very busy. Make a reservation to avoid disappointment.

The waitress and service was so rude. Even the first moment we got into restaurant they were like ‘we don’t have space and you need to wait’ but there was a space and they let us sit there. After that we wanted to eat French fries and we didn’t see on the menu because of that we asked for that to waitress and literally she made fun of us and said like yeah we have when she was rolling her eyes… So yeah guys, I was expecting some gentle moves and attitude but they were acting like we are ignorant invaders. Never recommend… you can find way much better quality and BETTER SERVICE (not rude or insulting) around same...
