Spundloch - das Hotel & Weinrestaurant — Restaurant in Veitshöchheim

We jad a two night stay here on our way back from Italy, and we wanted to stay close to Main and not far from Wurtzburg, and this is a very good place to stay.|There is no parking at the hotel, but you can unload and load your luguage in front og the Hotel, after recieving a sign from to reception to plave in your front window.|Then you can use the car park just a short walk from the Hotel.|The room was located on the second floor, there a two floors with 4 rooms on each and then #27is on it's own at the very top. |It was very warm when we visited and the stiarcase is extremely hot, and so is the rooms.|But ther is a large window than can open, so fresh air can get into the room.|We stayed in room #26 overlooking the garden restaurant, it was nicely decorated, and not very long ago it seemed.|The bathroom spacious and nice.|Handsoap and showergel/shampoo available.|Two bottles of complimentary water was on teh small desk.|Televisin and free Wi-Fi.|The only thing we found extremely strange was that staying two nights you would expect someone to make your bed and check the bathroom, but no that was not the case. |First time in my experience as a traveller, l do hope they normally do so and this was just a case of forgetting us. |Apar from that we would gladly return, it is a...

This is a small family-run guest house/hotel above the Spundloch restaurant. I'll start by saying that the owner added a bit to the "standard" German hotel breakfast with some delicious specialty jams and honeys to go on some locally-made seeded breads (the owner told me that his sister is a beekeeper, and one of the honeys was from chestnut trees - yum!). ||||Both the hotel and the town of Veitshochheim are adorable. It's a pleasant and relaxing small suburb to the larger city of Wurzburg. The owner was pleasant, helpful, and approachable throughout our visit. He also responded to emails quickly and was happy to give advice when asked. (I saw him in the restaurant at 7 am and at 11 pm - unclear when the guy sleeps!)||||The hotel is not a "fancy" hotel - there's no elevator and no air conditioning. There is a wireless network. The rooms are adorably cute but not luxury. We carried our own bags to our room (although I suspect that if we asked for help, the owner would have helped us).
