Living Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Wiesbaden

I recently visited this bakery café, and overall, it was just okay—not somewhere I'd rush back to. The place itself had a cozy vibe, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. Payment: Cash and Cards.

I tried a slice of cake, which looked promising but ended up being a letdown. It was dry and slightly burnt on the bottom, which really took away from the experience. The other food items I ordered weren’t much better—nothing stood out in terms of flavor or freshness.

The staff was polite, and service was fine, but when it comes to a bakery café, the quality of the baked goods should be the highlight—and sadly, that wasn’t the case here.

With a few improvements in the kitchen, this place could have potential. But as of now, it’s just an average spot that didn’t quite...

I have lived in Wiesbaden for over a year, and this is the best bakery cafe I have found. The pastries are way above the norm, with complex flavors and textures. The sandwiches are delicious. As a bonus, they have large chocolate cookies that remind me of home in the USA. Plus, the staff is really friendly and helpful. There is not much parking directly in front of the cafe, but we find parking pretty easily a short walk...

Ich war nun zweimal dort. Das Essen an sich ich gut. Der Service lässt Raum nach oben. Beim ersten Besuch brauchte es für ein Müsli mehr als 30 Minuten. Ok, es war viel los. Und dennoch wurden die Durchgangsgäste an der Theke laufend bedient, während man im Lokal warten durfte. Mit zwei Personen als Personal kann man das anders regeln. Soweit hätte ich damit leben können. Heute wollte ich wieder hin. Als ich auf die Terrasse ging wurde mir gesagt, dass diese noch geschlossen sei. Ok, zurück in das Lokal und gefragt, wann sie denn geöffnet wird. Die Antwort: "Gleich!". Auf meine Frage, ob es denn etwas konkreter geht, wurde die Bedienung unhöflich und sagte recht pampig: "Jetzt, die Kollegin ist ja jetzt da!". Sachlich vielleicht ok aber der Ton und der genervte Blick waren völlig unpassend. Da ich einen Termin hatte und eine genauere Zeitangabe benötigte, hätte mir eine einfache Uhrzeit gereicht. So möchte ich morgens nicht für eine Frage behandelt werden. Also diesmal ohne Essen...
